Zero Sign uses Ban's Snatch ability to "snatch" away their perception of Ban completely, no one can sense his presence or see him at all when using this skill, he essentially removes his existence of himself to anyone and anything in the world, they cant even feel Ban touching them, thats why melascula didnt react when Ban grabbed her.
