The villian wanted to go back and get Naruto when he was a kid and sasuke and boruto interfered. That’s how they wanted to kill off the side piece outsuski so just accept it and enjoy everything else that comes with it (Jiriya and Neji) Side note: I watched every episode on a weekly and I was thoroughly enjoyed the story regardless of how the plot was developing
