yeah Kai is definitely an abridged version. Like in Kankuro vs Sasori's resulting in Kankuro getting stabbed by his tail which is how he got poisoned, and Kankuro saving 2 of the rescue squad earlier against Sasori's traps - someone could prewatch them but I think Shippuden is just packed with stuff
