OStim Standalone 7.0

!!!Important!!! Read everything before downloading!

Requires a clean save when updating from prior OStim versions!

Requires OpenSex Addon Hub version 4.0 if you want to be able to navigate to any scenes made for the old OSA menu. (which are basically all scenes right now)

This is a beta release. It is playable, but unfinished. Some things might not work (see known issues below). Please do not report issues that are already listed in this post. This post will get updated as more issues are discovered.

Too much has changed to post a full changelog, but in short the OSA UI has been replaced with our own UI.
Navigation options in the UI are now filtered by requirements. (for example you won't have vaginal penetration animations in MM scenes, you'll only have penetrative animations in FF scenes if auto equip strap ons is enabled in the MCM, etc.)
OStim now supports an infinite amount of scenes at the same time with an infinite amount of actors (well, sort of, practically we're running out of ids at 2147483647 because Papyrus can't handle numbers higher than that). This does require a rewrite of addons that start NPC on NPC scenes, though.

the following mods are no longer required for OStim to work (some of them are still requirements for OStim addons, though):
- OSA
- JContainers
- ConsoleUtil

known incompatible addons:
- OSearch (its functionality has been added to OStim itself, just uninstall it)
- OStim Pace Keeper (same as OSearch)
- OProstution (we are working on a patch)
- Journeyman (causes CTDs on game load, we're investigating)

known issues:
- facelights don't work
- some navigation descriptions might be inaccurate
- the UI does not yet have speed controls (you can still change speeds with the + and - keys)
- some idle scenes use inappropriate animations (for example the second male in the MMF idle makes a rather feminine pose), this is because we don't have any better animations for them just yet

And last but not least a big shout out to Kannonfodder for creating the new UI and Keed for creating the new icons!
Also credits to Ace and Moon for the animations used in the new idle scenes in release 2.

Release 2:
- added a speed display to the navigation menu (you still have to change speeds with the + and - keys, though)
- added an experimental fix for CTDs while navigating the menu
- added an experimental fix for scene starts being delayed
- added a new .json scene format
- added new idle scenes for future animation packs to hook into (because of this you will need the version 4.0 of the Addon Hub with this in order to get back to the old intro scenes)
- added even more icons

Release 3:
- the scene parser now also parses subfolders
- the navigation now again supports chained transitions
- the search menu now shows scene names instead of scene ids
- the search menu now looks overall better
- added even more icons
- auto mode now tries to navigate to the new scene rather than fading out and back in

Release 4:
- removed the search menu debug text that appeared when you first started it
- the search menu results list can now be navigated with the navigation keys mapped in the MCM
- added idles for 4p and 5p scenes (only MMMF and MMMMF, respectively, no other gender combinations so far as there won't be any animations for those to port)
- you can now add more actors at scene start via message box selections (this can be disabled on the general page in the MCM)
- added the ability for addons to define sequences in .json files and play them via Papyrus calls (a sequence is a series of scenes to played in sequence, so you can basically define entire scenes to play out)

Release 4.1:
- fixed a CTD on game launch

Release 4.2:
- fixed a CTD on game launch, this time for real
- added some forgotten features to .json scene definition

Release 4.3:
- fixed a CTD on game launch, this time for real for real (I'm serious, it's really fixed now)

Version 7.0
This version is the same as the one that will be released to Nexus soon!
- added some more icons
- added idle animations for beds created by Moon
- improved the quality of the moaning and thrusting sounds (thanks to Migal)
- reworked the furniture system:
the selection box will now sort them by distance
addon authors can now create their own furniture types via .json files

Comments

OStim Standalone does not have an Addon MCM, so you will have to wait for ORomance to get an update with its own. As for the functionality of it I have no idea if it works with Standalone or not. But the only reason it wouldn't work is if it still used ODatabase.

VersuchDrei

Is there an Addon MCM menu in OStim Public Beta 4.1.7 for ORomance? If not, how do you get ORomance to work with the Beta version of OStim or would it even still work (I tried ORomance on the previous Beta versions and I can't seem to get it working on new clean saves and completely new installs of Skyrim)? Thanks

Tim Lenox

Not yet, but the only things that are technically required for OStim Standalone to run are SKSE and Address Library. We are already investigating a CTD on startup which appears to be related to the new UI elements.

Is there an install guide anywhere? I get CTD on startup after install.
