2025-01-30 07:58:33 +0000 UTCI knew about some of the practicality in the make up and such but I didn't know they went this far with everything. I believe there is a place for CGI but practical effects generally age better. Plus, they are just more fun.

Coralie Fargeat is like "and with this lens we can get close enough that we can actually see the soul" lol Those giant spinning light wheels and manually spinning the camera around . . . *snap-clap for ludicrously creative practical fx*

If horror reactions is still gonna be something you're doing for YouTube exclusively, I think you'd get a lot out of her previous feature Revenge. It's a tougher watch for its subject matter, but still a lot of fun and you get a lot of what she'd perfect for The Substance!
