Carrie - Movie Reaction

one of my new favorite movies of all time?????

(side note: still working out the reasoning for screen tearing in my screen recordings. i thought i had fixed it, but clearly not. i know it's a frame rate issue, but it's being extremely finnicky, so i apologize for that. hopefully i get it figured out asap!)

Carrie - Movie Reaction

Comments

Watching you work out that it was indeed John Travolta was so adorable lol also, yes, please do a Carrie cosplay for the next reaction 😆 she's an icon, she's a legend, and she is the moment 🙌

Puffpower127

Yes, the score is such a vibe.

Taylor Swift: YOYOK “i looked around in a blood soaked gown”. Carrie reference. That is exactly what happened to her at the VMAs 2009 and this is how she felt. Heartbreaking. I find Carrie not to be a horror movie but a heartbreaking movie of a girl who just wanted to fit in and kids can be mean, bullied her. Her mother was the evil in this movie. It’s so hard to watch. I love when Carrie finally turns and finds courage too, and becomes stronger to stand up to her mom. It’s heartbreaking, but such a good movie. Bravo.

Starbuck1234!

I haven't read the book and now I really really want to (even though you spoiled a little bit of it lol). A lot of old films had these resources where everything is slow, but in this case it is used in the necessary scenes; the prom scene is just amazing. I (personally) didn't like the other 2 versions, but if you watch them I'll join you ofc! PS: It's funny how my mom told me she went to see this movie to the cinema cause she didn't know it was a horror movie, and she got TRAUMATIZED. In those times, this movie was so scary, but I think times have changed and horror films evolved lol. Long comment sorry! Love ya

Trinity

i need a movie with the buildup of this version but the prom sequence in the 2013 version its so good

nathan h

That could certainly be part of it! But it's just, in my opinion, executed so much better than other films of its time.

Caitlin Marie

Yesss, waking up earlier today and seeing this was posted made my morning. I love Carrie 😍

Case Heard 🫶🏻💜

pls react to fear street trilogy ive been checking everyday since last year when you said it in a post

reub

The music alone puts this several spots above other classics of the time. So tragically beautiful

Wesley Lara

I'd hazard a guess that the reason you don't mind the pace so much in this movie, is the fact you've read the book. Because you knew what was coming, the pace wasn't impacting your experience of the plot as much.

Dave Williams

Yay. I'm glad u decided to watch this. Cult classic. 🥰

La Toya Sheri

I totally agree with you that this movie doesn't seem as old as it is. And yes, for a movie that is pretty predictable, it's done in a way that is still very enjoyable and suspenseful. The scene where she's doing her thing with the fire in the background is epic.

Steven Bucchieri

What version is this? Seems like the TV version. Regardless I really appetite not having to sync my copy. Good watch and reactions. Thanks. -= Caitlin switches versions =- lol oops... nevermind. (thank goodness for the edit button)

Natas Krad

This is my favorite horror film of all time. It’s a visual masterpiece and I can go on endlessly about it. All I’ll say is you should def check the BTS documentary, they put so much work into this film. (Also can’t wait for Flanagan’s take coming soon!)

Eisa Hayat

if this movie was spelled a liiiittle bit differently it would be my favorite horror movie

kerry berry

This one is truly a classic! So excited to see this reaction

Katy Eleanor

Killing it, as always! It's funny, I remembered the opening being different with shots here and there, more lingering, but I thought I might be crazy, or that you were probably just a god of editing getting started on your Puritan era. It's weird they put up a different version, but it's obviously all good.

Max Chandelier

This might be something different then, although I still think that's a good setting to have on. I know your capture settings are supposed to match your monitor refresh rate, but I assume you already did that. If it is some other setting in your recording software then I am not sure.

JeremyOnDeck

Well look he who's come around to classic horror. Not that I have room to talk. This was my first viewing of the entire movie. Some parts were a lot better than I thought they'd be. Thanks for making my home-from-work sick day less miserable.

Niqua

I was just wondering a few days ago if you were going to do a Carrie reaction soon. 😄😄

Kevin Cain

Ive only seen the remake a2013 nd i'm so mad it took me so long to watch the original! Glad i watched it with you though. They def changed stuff in the remake 2013

Cat Rizzo

I want to see your reaction to Carrie 2 the rage. This movie is exactly how I grew up without the religion it makes me cry.

Nicholas Marcum

i actually just switched that setting on today for the first time and i'm hoping it helps! the thing that's confusing me is that while watching the film myself, there is no screen tearing, but it always seems to exist on the recording, do you think the v-sync might help with that? most people who talk about screen tearing online seem to say they're seeing it themselves on the screen.

Caitlin Marie

I don't know if this is a solution to your issue, but I have always used NVIDIA's VSync option for screen tearing, which not only applies to games but screen recording too I think.

JeremyOnDeck

AHHHH OH MY GOD. ABSOLUTE CLASSIC! BEEN WAITING FOR THIS SINCE YOU SAID YOU READ THE BOOK!!

iMiller21

Would love to see more Stephen King love on the channel, Pet Sematary (1989) is a must watch, a contender for my personal favourite horror film

Robbie Corrie

Fun fact, this is the movie that first popularised the final scare trope in Horror. A certain other film with an iconic final jump scare took direct inspiration from this which i won't share the name as not to spoil anything
