This time I would like to explain how to draw [soil block], one of the four blocks mentioned in the painting course!

As always, we have a block to base it on! The shadow side is made more saturated than the other sides.

Next, roughly shave the outline in advance. I feel that creating a blurred silhouette gives a softer impression.

Then we'll tone the shadow side and the front! At this point, I painted the top side to be the darkest. It's starting to look a little tasty.

In order to give the earth a mokko (lumpy) look, I painted in dark shadows. I was conscious of matching the shape of the outline as much as possible.

Continue to add shadows to the sides and paint over them so that the corners are rounded.

We will also draw shadows and pale light on the top surface. We also made a gentle connection with other surfaces.

Pebbles and fertilizer-like substances are drawn into the soil. I placed them sparsely and randomly.

Continue to draw in more highlights and shadows. A bumpy look has been created.

I felt that just soil alone would be tasteless, so I added some grass and roots at the end... and voila!
It's a pretty analog way of drawing, so even if you don't have paint software, just try to imitate me with your paints!
