Added 2024-07-24 07:09:01 +0000 UTCI was in the Van Gogh museum in Amsterdam years ago. I was downstairs looking at the smaller and lesser known artwork. Panel after panel of drawings and painted sketches. Beautiful work !! I came across a painted sketch of a skull smoking a cigarette. It was fantastic! I realized it is not what you paint but the act of drawing and painting itself that is the most important.
