Chapter Poll - How do you guys feel about AI Art? Do you care for it at all? I've seen some authors pairing their stories with it and found myself playing with it a bit. Obviously, I wouldn't devote time that would ordinarily go into writing for this. It would just be extra.
To give you some examples, here's just me tinkering around; Grayfia Upskirt, Kittens, Rias Lingerie, Issei suit
I would try to aim for higher quality than these examples.
Reposted A/N: So I wasn’t sure whether to go with ‘Koneko’ or ‘Shirone’. Which do you guys prefer? Thematically, I like ‘Shiro’ to go with ‘Kuro’ because its white/black in Japanese.
I was originally going to include Akeno in this chapter, but about 6,000 words in I realized I had completely pushed her into the background for some cat-girl fun so… next time!

Shirone does work better in this instance. Not just because the black/white reference, but also cause she changed her name to distance herself from Kuroka. Since you seem to have side stepped the whole Kuroka stray devil situation, Shirone wouldn't have any reason to hate her sister.

2024-10-31 10:00:23 +0000 UTCAs for Shirone vs Koneko, if she never was "abandoned by Kuroka" she wouldn't become Koneko. Rather, if Kuroka wasn't forced to kill her old master, Shirone doesn't become Koneko.

2024-10-31 03:29:24 +0000 UTCPretty much this. I remember there being a huge uproar about anything "digitally drawn" not being "real art". That was everything from photoshop to GIMP to blender. Anything not "drawn on physical paper" was considered "fake art" by so many artists lol AI Art is probably never going to be able to replace human artists because of the mistakes it repeatedly makes but it's just another tool for art.

2024-10-31 01:05:30 +0000 UTCPersonal opinion but I have no problem with AI and I find people discouraging use of it to be uptight and not understanding of people's time and resources Plus I'm old enough to remember when people treated use of Photoshop like it wasn't real art so I just treat this as another tool for creators of all types to use

I realize that this is essentially canon accurate, but it's so cringey that it makes me actively sad he's having good things happen to him. I have to reiterate this isn't a problem with your writing. You're depicting the character accurately and your prose and descriptions are in excellent form as always. I just really hope the character gets a personality transplant soon.
