I suppose that story is more like a pilot episode now rather than the end point for this story lol. I'd personally really love to see Perona join the crew though I'm not sure how she would come in contact with Luffy tbh. She's usually on Mihawk's island and Luffy has no reason to go there lmao. Maybe Moria could attack Luffy in revenge and that could be the catalyst lmao. Just my idea though. I'm sure whatever you do will be great!
