Before the long journey, the party's spell-casters went to the Scroll & Script.

It's crucial to replenish scrolls, see if there were any new spells, or equip yourself with pencils, quills, and ink. An old mage set up his shop in the nicer part of town. He named it Scroll & Script, and everything is inconspicuous except that he is a long-running bad guy who escaped dozens of parties. And he decided to retire in your town. He slipped a wrong scroll, a curse he used before, just for fun.
