Siheyuan Houses [18x32] [2 floors]

Grizkh was unusually silent.

As the only Half-Orc in the world who has the permit to enter the Highplane, I would expect him to be more… excited? After all, he is returning to his, at least according to the legend, ancestral home. It is firmly believed that Highplane is the motherland of all half races.

Which I find ridiculous, but I know better than to voice my insignificant concerns.

I watch my pal. He almost killed me as the troll, but that is water under that damned bridge. What is important, we're in the Highplane. Grizgh sighed, dragging his gigantic feet reluctantly.

"Hey, buddy! Come on, lighten up! We're in the Highplane!

He glanced at me and said nothing.

"We're soon in the Seventh Circle! Plenty of greens and lakes, just as you prefer!

"No, Aaron, that's Sixth."

I was shocked.

"But, how…?"

He steered us from the path and we started climbing. Could really my companion know the forbidden planes of the Highplane, kingdom of Half-Elves shrouded in mystery?

After a few hours of the uphill walk, I was sore. We met tabaxi on top of the huge flat plateau with nothing on it. Grizkh hugged the cat character and fist bumped him. Suddenly, as if the veil lifted.

In front of us, a complex of oriental looking buildings. Near the front entrance a white goblin chased a kid. Artificer tinkered something, sitting on the stairs. He never looked at us. What is this place?

Grizkh read my mind.

"This is my home, Aaron. A true home of all half-children, ones with absence of royalty in their blood."

What is Siheyuan? A historical type of residence that was commonly found throughout all China. Its composition was basic pattern used for residences, palaces, temples or monasteries and government offices. In ancient times, a spacious Siheyuan would be occupied by a single, usually large and extended family, signifying wealth and prosperity.

The central star of this type of settlement is one or more courtyards.

It can be used as a large estate, settlement, villa or you can furnish it as you see fit with the provided empty variant! Dive into complex simplicity of the ancient way of life and create memorable moments for your players.

We released this map so you can plan ahead for your session on Chinese New Year!
