City Streets [25x25]

Note to reader: diary entry can only be read by casting Comprehend Language as 4th level spell.

"DAY SEWEN OF MY JURNEY: I NEVER THINKED THE TRESARRD IS THIS BEAUTFUL. EVERRYWHERE I TURM, FLOVERS ARE BLOOOMING AND GRASS IS GREN, AS THE SEA. I AM LITTLLE SAD. THEI CALLING ME SAVAJE, ORK, BUT I MIN NO HARM BIY THEM. I WANT TO HALP."

Further shuffling through the material reveals the large smudges of ink, as if something liquid was hastily and clumsily wiped by a huge finger. I have never thought my friend could write. As I was reading through the childish gibberish, my tear fell on the dry paper and I wiped it hastily and clumsily. Sheer complexity of a good heart revealed its full devastating strength, written in childish upper-cased handwriting.

"I FOUNDED THE PAPIR FOR KVEST. A VIZARRD NEEDS A HELLP. I NEED COIUNS. GOLD IS NOT FOR I, BUT THE BROWN IRRON COIN I THINKED CAN BUYED THE BEER ALE FOR ME. ME DO'NT NEEDED WERY MUCH. I AM HUNGREY,"

Grizkh was taken in the woods and missing since. I found this diary in his room. He never let me in, ever, and I see why now. I was shocked. My clumsy companion kept his room pristine. I was sure he never slept in the bed, yet he kept it tidy. He desperately wanted to fit in. I must've never told him that civilized folk are never this civilized. He asked me many times if I could teach him to write and read, but I never had time. I violated his thoughts further:

"VIZZARD IZ NICE HUMEN MAN. HE KNOWS A LOT AND I HOPE HI WIL NO DISMISS ME, LIKE DEY DID. HE OFERD I ALE BEER AND I DRINKED IT NICE LIKE HIM AND HOPE HE STAYS ME NEAR. I LOVE PEOPLES, THEY NO NEED FEAR ME."

I shuffled through the diary fishing for something useful and realized Grizkh was on the run from the "peoples" from his past. They got to him, I was sure.

At this moment I realized how much I missed my friend. And how much in debt I am.
