challenging myself do make a new experimental animation loop by the end of the week - day 1

hey there! i've been itching to work on animation since the start of the year, and for me this year has just flown on by without me even noticing. ive gone every month saying that the next month i'll finally have some time to work on the projects ive been putting off due to just having so much on my plate. And well, I finally have that time! Have no upcoming trips or projects or comms that are very time consuming and i've found a rhythm to follow when it comes to working on a new letter each month.

soo what project do I tackle first with my newfound freetime?

well i started an nsfw animation a few days ago that im excited to share more about soon. but as i started working on it I realized it would take me a few weeks to finish as its multiple shots, and for my own mental's sake, i need to get some sort of kickass art idea im proud of out there before working on another letter/other things that have a deadline

so i decided to make an animation loop that i can hopefully finish making within a weeks time all before i resume letter work, which will be challenging for me but very doable!

the animation itself i should be able to finish quickly- but for this one, im going to be building and shooting on a physical set with miniatures! it'll be done stop motion style- tho the characters will still be 2D drawn on paper but in a 3D environment. you might be familiar with my other work in this style, im pretty practiced at it. I actually originally got into drawing by making animated stop motion shorts in this way. I wanted to be an animator initially but wasnt very practiced at drawing at all. I did those earlier videos in this style when i just barely started learning so theyre a bit more crude. you can check em out here on my youtube channel. I was also very in the closet too and living with my parents during college and i wasnt out about being a furry to anyone so theres not really any anthro characters pgjfhgg

anyway ill be updating here everyday-ish with wips this week till its done! should be a bit of a realtime behind the scenes on my process

for tonight, i just drew this sketch in blender - i do all my sketching and animations digitally first in blender grease pencil

so- this is basically a mockup of how it should look when I build the set and where the characters will be in the set. I like drawing the composition first before building because I know exactly the camera angle I need to recreate and how much I need to build to accomplish the shot. I only need to build what the camera is going to see, and I dont wanna waste time building a entire realistic bathroom when you can only see a part of it!

the next step is to animate digitally, which is mondays goal! im a very veryyy slow animator but i think i can pull it off in a day since the movement is so simple. they'll just be jackin it whilst theyre being peed on so theres not too many moving parts. then after that I'll start building :3
