The next day, Harvey woke up to a loud crash. It was morning, but the sky was still dark out. Storms were nearly unheard of on Exchange Island, and Harvey wasnβt quite sure what that meant for leaving the island, which is exactly what he was scheduled to do today.
Knowing it was likely heβd run into the woman he swapped bodies with, he put on a modest sweatshirt and jeans. The lobby was full of people trying to figure out what was going to happen.
Once everyone seemed gathered, the announcement was made. There would be no flights out today. There were some groans. But the announcement wasnβt done. Because the scheduled swap would be missed, once flights resumed, those people who had been scheduled to return home today would likely be stuck in the bodies they had been swapped into. Many groans turned to shouting, but Harvey cracked a smile. This was even better than a short extension! To be like this for good! He couldnβt be happier!
