After a few weeks, Kiko was fed up. She was convinced Jake wasnβt even trying. He tried to plead with her to stay, explaining heβd do anything to stay on the team. And thatβs when Kiko brought him into the science lab to test out a device she had been tinkering with.
The device allowed the two to switch bodies, and now several hours after the swap, they sat in the library with nerdy Asian student now inside the body of a jock and visa versa.
βAre you sure this is a good idea?β Jake asked.
βItβs fine. The only way youβre going to pass any of these tests is with my brain inside your body,β Kiko assured him, βAnd donβt worry about me on the field. The right move is often just a matter of the right math mixed with the right brawn, which I obviously have right now.β
βAnd what about you? Are you worried Iβm going to fail all your classes while Iβm in your body.β
βDonβt worry about me. Iβm so far ahead that a few flunked tests wonβt dent my GPA. Besides, maybe while in my body, youβll be able to focus and actually learn something.β
