I had known Brandon for years; I easily considered him my best friend. When the Great Shift happened, he was one of the first people I tried to get in contact with. We had both become women, but it seems Brandon was also now notably pregnant. He told me about how weird it felt to have a really big belly and to have something βsquirmingβ around in there. I couldnβt think how heβd react to giving birth in a few weeks.
Imagine my surprise when I showed up to a club weβd often visit one Friday night, and Brandon was there, dancing up a storm with his pregnant belly hanging out.
I yelled at him over the loud music, βIβm surprised youβre out. You know you canβt drink, right?β
βIβd love a drink,β He shouted back, βYou buyinβ?β
βNo, dude!β I yelling, knowing he mustβve misheard, βYou CANβT drink right now. Pregnant women arenβt supposed to.β
βThe hell? Really?β
βDude, have you even been to the gynecologist to take a look at it?β
βI thought it would just sort of...fall out.β
I sighed, βWeβre so scheduling you an appointment ASAP.β
