I just have such an affinity for the way Mick Jenkins expresses himself and pens his raps. It needs multiple listens to catch everything and that’s the beauty of his work because the shit is not surface level at all, but with every listen every song resonates more and more it’s just so well crafted. Also EMIL *SMOKED* the production my God. So lush and multilayered with all the instruments, the two pair together perfectly for authentic sounding expression.
