HTC Ep. 37: Wayne Wrote For Drake?, Pusha T Disses Travis Scott, AI Ghostwriters and MORE
Added 2025-06-21 03:00:08 +0000 UTCIn this episode Prince and Darae discuss Lil Wayne's son's claim that his father wrote "most of Drake's songs", this leads to yet anther discussion about Drake and ghost writing. They also talk about Drake's message to a politician and that politician's response. The conversation shifts to Pusha T dissing Travis Scott and the what to expect from the upcoming Clipse album. Then, a discussion about "Artist Mystique" and AI ghostwriters takes over the pod. This, and a lot more in this week's episode.

For the verse that changed my perspective on an artist: I'd say Fivio's verse on Off The Grid shocked me a lot, and I still go back to that song just for his energy on that verse. I gained a lot more respect for him as a rapper when I first heard it, but he never really dropped anything like that again imo.

2025-06-24 01:11:44 +0000 UTCCapitalism is destroying the souls of humanity. AI is capitalism in its final form. We are past the point of late stage capitalism. A fall is coming.

2025-06-23 17:11:56 +0000 UTCWord is that Drake definitely stole his style from Phonte and then later eclipsed him. People started thinking Drake was Phonte's influence instead of vice versa.

2025-06-22 00:28:01 +0000 UTCGreat episode y’all, you hit a lot of topics and I agree with most points y’all made. I’m hoping AI doesn’t take over art fully as we already see it happening. I miss great cover art. I think 21’s verse on a lot started to shift my perspective on him as an artist. I think Cole had some influence on him and I seen them chopping it up in the studio and cole was dropping gems on him. He’s only gotten bigger since and I think his maturity level in his music went up.

2025-06-21 14:21:22 +0000 UTCThank you again for sharing your thoughts. May I ask a few questions I don't think you will respond to: how do you feel about Drake's lawsuit against UMG? Did you go to GNX concert in Toronto? Will you revisit your response to $$$4U like you alluded to when you first reviewed? Just curious...

2025-06-21 03:42:53 +0000 UTCI think Novi was repeating something he was told or overheard in adult convos. Something that baffles me is, why does Drake's writing/rapper credibility rest on 7 Timestamps when he has over 400 songs. Let's say he wrote those...that's 2% of his entire catalog. No other rapper would get this grace. He's not the only one with pop crossover.
