Charley's Foxes by Geoffery Merrick

For those of you who are not, he has been writing stories similar to what I write for nearly four decades. In fact, many of the tropes I thought I invented were used by him when I was just a small child. Imagine my shock when I discovered his books a few months after I began writing. There is nothing more jarring than realizing you're mimicking another artist without even realizing it.
Of course, we aren't exactly the same. His stuff is a tad bit darker and not grounded in the world of comics or heroines. Which is why, when I commissioned him for a story, I gave him several ideas. Naturally, he went for Charlies Foxes. Of course, this is his take on it, and in no way related to my story. The character are completely different as well.
