Eminem - The Death Of Slim Shady | FIRST REACTION

Tracklist:

Eminem - The Death Of Slim Shady | FIRST REACTION

Comments

That Jeffery Epstein line was because a fake flight log was circulating and Em along with Seth, and Ben were on the list so Em was poking fun at that because he likely never went to Epsteins Island.

Hope E Cochrane

Late to the party. Love the reaction, but why is the video sometimes skipping? In any case, this album really is a master piece. I cannot even count how many times I've listened to it.

Joseph

Great album, it a classic mind fuck 🍿🎥

Karl Daley

Well the last song was about what would have happened if he had died when he overdosed so technically that could be the first song.

Hope E Cochrane

I also approve of this revere order reaction 🫡

Colin Harris

the epstein line was just ajab at the fact that hes on the fake list of whos been on the island haha..

Chris Cox

In fuel he says something about how he doesn’t condone shooting up schools but the voices put words in his mouth like alphabet soup. He does an ABC thing there. Where he does an A rhyme scheme (decades - tec spray - met Dre - catch strays etc) then he goes into a B scheme (beat - obesity - - beef- be - BK) then that C alliteration (most content on the continent and constant compliments give me confidence). ABC. Amazing writing

Trevor Carmody

The epstein Shot was just because of the Fake List where he Seth Green and affleck was on.

Passibility

It was a fake list. People kept saying he was on it with Seth Green and Ben Affleck.

Jennifer Malcolm

The funny thing is Eminem has said way worse then that Epstein line 😂💀 yall remember the song called the kids or insane off relapse 💀

Jesus Iracheta

Bro yall too stuck on the epstein line, Remember the second verse on Guilty Conscience! Slim been sayin outta pocket shit. anyway love the reaction

Abhimanyu Dinesh

Sorry Derae but Em will slaughter Jay. If you prefer Jays music that’s fine but lyrically Jay ain’t touching Ems pen!

Michael Bernal

I honestly think this line was a double, because he just said "go get some smoke with lamar" which could be lamar odom who was smoking crack at one point. Not sure tho.

big Jay

Big Sean?

big Jay

Essentially agree with all of the above, just substitute an off white hand for that summation fist bump.

William

This reverse thing is a reach, it doesn't make sense with the skits and Eminem told to listen in order, people are trying to get another DAMN while it is not.

Mazaky

It's a reach, it doesn't make sense with the skits and Eminem told to listen in order.

Mazaky

I'm sure you've both heard, and I'm also sure you won't mind. However, it's recently been brought to everyones attention that you have to play the whole album backwards, it will make a lot more sense. Already a pateron subscriber but paid the extra to listen to your reaction to the album and now with the news that's come to light that you need to listen to the album backwards, I'm sure I speak for a lot of peeps and say would love to hear your reactions to the album from end to beginning. Love and respect from the UK 🇬🇧 👊🏿

Sadeeq Edwards

Y’all need to check out insyt. “How to Draw a Circle” “Once Upon a Time”, or “Truth Serum” It just feels special, hidden gem

Dead Lov

I feel like every misses the Subaru line about the girl not being able to give head.. because the stereotype is that lesbians drive Subarus lmao

Ben Moliere

Hands down, this might be my favorite Em album... Back in the day you had to flip the casette tape to hear Side B. Same thing for vinyls, or LP's. I'm conviced you're supposed to listen to it in reverse order. You can hear Ken Kaniff still walking in Tobey. The skit in GC2 plays into the breaking news skit after Slim laughs when Paul hangs up... Too perfect. Listen to it in reverse. Would love to hear your thoughts.

Twisted8ight

I second this

Aidan

Will you record another one of y’all listening to all the album but in the reverse order? (Edit: I don’t actually care about this anymore, i feel like it doesn’t actually work particularly well given the layout of the skits and how they are connected to certain songs. )

Elijah Cherweznik

https://x.com/pecora_boy123/status/1812717848742998379?s=46&t=LrNx4J_KdN2nhvfdEsCfhg Explained in detail

Charlie J. Alpert

Also, one of my favorite lines in Antichrist that I think got missed: “I’m sick like the terminally ill But more like sick as in the term mentally ill.” Fire Been watching since 2018, love the channel and the reactions fellas.

Charlie J. Alpert

Y’all seen this interpretation that the album is backwards and it should be listened to in reverse? If you listen back to front, Slim kills Em at the end and spits on his grave… 🤯

Charlie J. Alpert

appreciate you! Merch on the way!

VibeVilla

That's what I'm sayingggg

Etienne Workman

Glad someone else got it

Ekaj Atsituab

i swear prince be readin notes or something on the side when he goes on a tangent. thanks for the reaction guys, always a pleasure. love.

Chris

“Stan til I Die though” (Dido) 🔥

Colin Harris

Bro the Epstein shits him mocking a fake list that circulated with him on it that was quickly debunked. Pretty Sure Seth Green and Ben Affleck were on it and it was BS too.

Colin Harris

New to the patreon, but been following on youtube since the car days. God Bless you both! Again, new to the patreon though lol Have you put the double V’s on a hoodie or anything? I would rep some vibe villa merch big time.

Cam

Regarding the concept of the album and the lack of narrative after GC2: If Slim Shady is a metaphor for Eminems battle with addiction, the albums narrative after all starts with a song called Habits and Em being forced to take pills, then I interpret the 'HAHA' at the end of GC2 as Shady laughing because he is still around, he will always be lurking. And while I think the stretch after GC2 should have been removed or given more clear narrative, I still like my interpretation that after GC2 we follow 2 realities, modern Em on 'top of his game' (Head Honcho, Bad One, Tobey) and Slim Shady, who lost the fight in GC2, is loosing the fight against drugs and dealing with his death(Temporary, Somebody Save Me). Somebody Save Me finishes with the lyrical subject being lowered into a coffin <=> Renaissance begins with Slim Shady coming back from the dead Renaissance ends with the line 'Stupid, you ain't gonna get 'em until your funeral wake ' <=> Somebody Save Me ends with a funeral. As I see it this album basically covers the cycle a former addict goes through, where his demons come out of nowhere, try to seduce him subconsciously (Ems dreamception), Em manages to fight it and wins, comes out of the fight looking strong, while the addictive thoughts wither away only for the cycle to randomly start anew.

Buriii

Hoping this signals the start of a new era for eminem and he puts out a whole boom bap project with one producer like alchemist or dj premier. I need Eminem to work with more legendary producers that aren't dr dre. He's done stuff with havoc and just blaze, but I really would love to hear more of that

Rudra

I have a few things that I think about the album: - Fire flows, fire rhyme schemes, loved the use of some of his old flows and voices, he sounded so smooth, really gave me mmlp through encore vibes at times, just amazing rapping overall - JID went insane, I've wanted a JID and Eminem song for a while, and I feel like it's been a while since Eminem went toe to toe with another alien on a song, and they both made it count. Crazy song with crazy rapping - The concept is interesting, and I love the idea of him exploring the conflict between him and Slim Shady. I don't think he built on that concept in the best way though. Too much of it did seem like he was just saying transphobic things and complaining about political correctness for the sake of it. I don't think that's what it was supposed to be given my understanding of the album, but that's how it comes off. I think there was a more artful way to do this. - The production was decent but not amazing, some instrumentals worked better than others - Guilty Conscience 2 is one of the best songs he's made sober, felt so cinematic, and I really loved how it tied the album together - I think Temporary and Somebody Save Me were 2 of my least favorite of his songs on those topics. They were still very good and did get me emotional, but I think he's done those themes better almost every time he's done them before - I didn't need the Bizarre or Ez Mil features

Rudra

Yall heard Ken Kanniff from Connecticut

danzogonzo

The way I like to look at everything past gc2 is what people would do with his music once he's gone. He kills himself in gc2 because he doesn't want to go back to the immature side, but he knows he'll never be as successful without it. That's why there's more features on the end, and why he's got a shorter verse on them. I think it truly brings the album together to like perfect level for me

Jmoney

Makes sense

Jamie Mc Colgan

https://southpawers.com/2024/07/15/is-eminem-the-death-of-slim-shady-album-in-reverse/

Jamie Mc Colgan

You will remain a stan till I Dido. Hard!

Matthias Van Humbeeck

Also, the fake Epstein list had Ben, Em, and Green on their list

PittTrippMan

Prince picks out the most random words to repeat 😂😂😂

Tre M

Way past due, but just subbed the patreon! Everybody has their favorite reaction channels, and i like to watch the other guys too. But you guys don’t miss a thing, and the music you choose to do is always what i’m wanting. Thank you for the videos. Wealth and health, sending love from Bend oregon

Cam

My mother came up to me asking if I had listened to the album yet... She has never once asked me about music

PittTrippMan

Prince 4+8 is 12 bro 😭

Taylor

No problem. I learned that from watching vocal coaches reacting to Beyoncé! lol

Arie

No I mean on one of these new songs he mentions about body Kelly twice but he keeps mentioning him. I can't remember which song but I didn't see them react to it

Shayla Ridings

Awesome reaction guys! My fav song on the album is fuel just because JID. So happy, that he's on this album. Ain't no other "big name features" on this one so it speaks of skill JID has, to go bar for bar with Eminem.

Jan Majnik

Thanks for this! I'm from Europe so I don't get any of the football/basketball references and I know USA is deep embedded into sports. I used to watch football (soccer) but just grew out of it. I used to watch ALL Arsenal games. So I love the sports references but need youtube reviewers to notice those bars. JID always bringing those football bars :D

Jan Majnik

If you re-listen to project you can hear that Marshall is going back and forth with slim shady throughout the project at least up until Guilty Conscience

Nkosi Nsuntsha

Do y’all know the reaction to evil isnt the full song? Did yall leave out the last verse on purpose? Even on patreon??

Bryce Bees

Off topic but I just learned a new word (interpolate) from this comment, so thank you!

S.

Great Reaction 🔥

Mr Tim Adkinson

On fuel when JID says in the pocket like kellen mond, he is also making a football reference since in the pocket can refer to the passing area for a qb, and kellen mond being a football qb

Anthony Campbell

Somebody save me is a call back to his overdose, and his addiction in a way that if he had died from the OD he would have missed all the things about being a father & being there for them. But he got sober, he was able to walk Hailie down the aisle, he has been around to see her podcast succeed. He’s been there for Alaina and Stevie and his brother Nate. It’s a beautiful song so is temporary.

Morgan

Yeah I know about Stevie. I'm just saying I bet a lot of people would still be shocked that someone with Ems history would be so accommodating and progressive. It's the only thing that bugs me about this album, sadly it attracts right wingers who cherry pick songs and verses thinking Em is on their side and miss the point entirely. For example Cartier Family, the anti Vibevilla when it comes to understanding Ems music.

Joe

Of course he does! His daughter Stevie is nonbinary. Pronouns they/he/she. & he’s always supported why you think he did a song with Elton John to prove he isn’t really homophobic.

Morgan

He also said "left wing" because most of the celebs on the fake log are liberals.

M. Smith

Bro. Wtf this is amazing. First album with zero skips for me since GRODT

Brady

Fun fact, Christopher Reeves broke his neck falling from a horse. Thus, the horse samples.

g

Also, to your point on the ending tracks being bonuses, not at all. He woke up from the nightmare that was Slim Shady. The whole first half up to GC2 was a dream; the last few tracks were the actual album.

HahaPheenikson

ALso thought ya'll would like to know - There was a fake epstien flight log with those particular celebs names on it - including marshal bruce mathers ..... thats the joke .. he's mocking the fake list. not the victims of the island ( thimk , i am whatever you say i am )

Garland Ward

I think you're confused about the concept in the end cause you're taking it too literally. Shady and Marshall are the same person. The whole point of Slim Shady as an alter ego was to get away with saying the most outlandish shit. Em has a twisted sense of humor and some really fucked up thoughts in his head. Slim Shady is the personification of that. As Em started to mentally spiral in the 2000's due to personal issues and his fame, he also became resentful of everything Slim Shady represented. He killed Shady off on 'Encore' and then again on 'When I'm Gone'. Then the OD happened and Em came back rapping differently though he still said a lot of controversial stuff. We got some glimpses of Shady here and there but he's been tucked away since then. The concept of TDOSS is Em having nightmares about Slim Shady taking control over him. Em associates Shady with a time where he had no control over his life. So him shooting Shady is just him quieting that voice that tells him to go off the deep end again. Shady can't be killed for real though because they're the same person. You can hear him laugh at the end of GC2. The following tracks is Em dropping the gimmick of Slim Shady and giving the listener context on where he's at rn. He's reassuring the audience who were begging for Shady to come back that he's still got a wicked mind and sense of humor. He still likes to ruffle feathers and cause controversy and he feels strongly about his place in hiphop as one of the greats. But he's also pondering about his actual death and there's still regret regarding his drug abuse and neglecting his family.

Miri

You guys only mentioned it once on one song. Still, throughout the majority of the album, he switched between his modern voice and his OG Slim Shady voice to represent the internal struggle between the two egos and showcase how they are the same. I enjoyed hearing unique details, especially when both voices were mixed differently in distinct manners to help the listener differentiate the two. Modern Em is more precise and polished, while OG Slim is combined with more static and distorted (analog).

HahaPheenikson

*Isn't bruce generous * --- Batman is Bruce wayne - and a philanthropist .. also Ems middle name is * marshal Bruce Mathers* .... thats a tripple my friends

Garland Ward

Are you guys covering the bonus tracks?

Jeff

Stevie is his daughter (Kim’s by another man that he adopted as an infant) her birth name is Whitney and identifies as nonbinary now. Alaina is his oldest… niece that he adopted at age 4.

Sam

Didn't listen until this dropped and loved the breakdown of some sleeper bars! Would love to see you guys react to Immortal Technique, think you guys would love it! Revolutionary Vol. 1 a good place to start!

xx yy

Also I feel some Relapse vibes from this album. If you think he's dark in Antichrist Relapse takes the cake. He has a very similar Christopher Reeve scheme in Medicine Ball. Had to pay for a patreon sub as I was desperate to hear you guys honest opinion on this. You didn't disappoint. All the best!

Joe

I thought it was sweet when Em earnestly said he supports Trans rights in Road Rage. Who would have thought he'd say that 25 years ago?

Joe

We’ve been waiting to listen to the album until you guys dropped. Thanks for another great episode!

Anna L.

While you guys mostly got the concept, I'm going to just give my 2 cents that I got and that I had help from some other people talking about: Quickly explaining it, Marshall has nightmares of Shady coming back and getting him cancelled by the things he is saying, he hear that through out the album, he wakes up a couple of times, you can also hear that through out the album with his screams and alarms, until he realizes it's not dreams, but Shady personality taking over and that actually they are the same person (Houdini show us that), then we get in Guilty Conscience 2 where they have the direct confrontation and where he tries to kill Shady, but again he wakes up, realizing that he can't really kill Shady. That is where those "out of place" music, that at first I thought the same, comes from, he realizes that if he killed Shady, and all that he had done for him, he would be killing himself at some way, so people should just accept him, and he also should accept that part of himself, but at the same time he realizes that he can't tap into Shady, because he is tied to his drug use, something that he hear in Habits, Eminem killed Shady a long time ago when he OD, this is him telling us the listeners that he can't go back to that Shady anymore, but that Shady is still a part of him. So when people say/ask to "bring Shady back" he can't, he is not that guy who used drugs for the kicks and he prefer to live for his family, that is where Temporary and Somebody Save Me ties up. I also think that the concept was really clear until Guilty Conscience 2 but it became a little foggy after that, he should have more interludes or little introduction in the song to kind point out in this direction, similar at how Kendrick did on Mr. Morale when he goes from Side A to Side B. I also think that a Side B with more features (Dr Dre, Kendrick, J. Cole, Boogie, Royce and many more) would be the way to go for this album so that this concept could be better realized by the public. Also you have to keep up when is Eminem or Shady rapping, he did some voice effects to be more nasal when is Shady, similar to his old voice, while also having a record scratch every time he changes.

Mazaky

I'd been waiting for your reaction! Enjoyed going through this album with you. This album has cinematic vibes.

Maha Pasha

There was supposedly an Epstein list that came out that em was on. So that's why he put the line in there about on the wing of Epsteins plane

Jersull

I guess a lot of people don’t remember that fake Epstein list that was going around the internet. A lot of famous and even beloved celebrities were on the list, including Em and everyone Em named in that line. 😁

Bob M

Appreciate you! Waiting to read em!

VibeVilla

I don’t understand why they were so upset about the Epstein bar! He was rumored to be one of the people on the flight list, along with other top celebrities, but it turned out that there was no evidence of this being true. I interpreted the bar as him jabbing at cancel culture for being thirsty and trying to link him up to the controversy.

Donovan Allen

I have a lot of thoughts but seeing as it’s 4:28 am I’m obliged to sleep and will share them when I wake up. Thank you for sharing your reactions and thoughts! It was a joy to re-experience the album this way.

Ran Kuruta

My take: Eminem opens the album spitting on the grave, so Shady's been dead. The songs with Slim were all dreams that he wakes up from at the end of the songs. The album showed what would happen if Shady lived, which would end with Marshall dying from overdosing. The world may want Slim back, but that would kill Eminem. RIP Shady, but I'll root for sobriety.

Kali Howell

No particular order, but Evil, Lucifer, Fuel, Bad One, and Tobey are my top 5

J. B.

Not Alike and Killshot

Gautham

By repercussions, I mean current day, half the album he's blaming gen z when the congress thing was his generation. As well, all that past controversy is easy gives him the pass to say what he wants now. I often hear, "only em can get away with saying that" and it's true. People give him the pass to say whatever he wants but even if someone's like Jay Z, or Nas or something said half of what he said, people would want their heads

Marquis

been rockin wit you dudes since 2016. have only ever paid a subscription to a person once in my life. yall are the most genuine reactors/breakdowns channel and i appr you guys doing what you do. stay real

Brad Marchand

Saying he never suffers the repercussions is wild considering how the congress and several organizations riled against him in the early 2000s lol. His career doesn’t have to necessarily be over for them to be considered consequences. Regarding TDOSS— Pretty sure it was all satire. Like how ridiculous a slim shady persona would sound in 2024– besides the point that slim shady is a product of all the violence and abuse he was subjected to and amplified by the heavy drug use that destroyed important relationships and made him miss out on so much time with his kids. I think the worst part is the drug abuse made him subject his children to things he experienced as a kid and wanted to protect them from witnessing but failed.

Ran Kuruta

I do have a feeling there where people that went to that fucked up island without knowing what it was.

Brent Schroeder

@11:56 that's absolutely right! I'm one of those super fans in Pakistan. The album dropped 9 AM local time - I listened to it as soon as it dropped and the Pakistan shout blew my mind!! 🥳

Maha Pasha

💯

Maha Pasha

I’m loving the debate during Lucifer. I will get super analytical about it like that, but no one will argue with me that long.😂 Durae, I completely get what you’re saying, or I think I do! I feel the same way, not that it bothers me per se or offends me, and certainly not that I take it seriously, but joking about hitching a ride to *ape island where they assault minors does seem different. I don’t think it is for Eminem, or he wouldn’t make the joke; it’s just fuel for the antagonist fire, but I get why it hits different.

Gina Marks

its fucking fire but i agree, the Jeffrey Epstein shit could be left out 100%

Mandem

Em just gave Kendrick huge praise. Saying lookin for smoke with him is like looking for smoke with Kendrick... GOATS

Z

“Lookin for smoke from Lamar bro” (Marlboro)

Christian Gent

on Antichrist. When he "included" himself on the Jeffery Epstein island joke it's his alter ego talking not Eminem himself. He's essentially continuing the idea of Shady being absolutely evil rather than actually including himself as someone who would participate in that.

Robert Szabo

Thank you!!!

Nikola Avramov

His rapping on this album was phenomenonal, but it was a bit annoying hearing him cry half the album about pc culture and being canceled especially when he himself never actually faces the repercussions of what he's complaining about. He's still selling albums and record numbers, he's still rich, he still gets to say and do whatever he wants. It's just odd there's no self awareness, especially when he complains about Gen Z when it was his own generation that originally was trying to crucify him his whole career until now. Which is crazy because that was part of what made him relevant at the time. There would be no "shock value" if no one was shocked, if the pc police boogie man didn't exist or whatever. Just sounds like an old head complaining half the album. But everything else was great, Guilty Conscious 2 really saved the album for me honestly. Made it all come together

Marquis

I didn't hear the part of him bodying mgk twice what song was that on? Maybe it got skipped over

Shayla Ridings

IK, in re-listens it gets better, guess i was just expecting a break from the formula rn but he's real creative so i got hopes

Lucas Loesch Vilhena

Good explanations. I'd add that I think that the whole album works as a loop with "Renaissance" that sets it back. The spit at the very beginning of the song is Eminem's (based on the small trailer he posted on IG). How can he spit on Shady's grave BEFORE killing him (as he only kills him the 13th song) ? That's because he's killed him already but Shady eventually come back... back again, back again... as he did throughout his whole career

Bluzz LeBleu

you 2 are the GOATS!!!! thanks for the video and all the bar explanations. As a non native speaker that was super useful

Bluzz LeBleu

What up! Just joined, you guys are enjoyable af to vibe with (name appropriate) I’ve been refreshing your YouTube looking for it, your content is quality so I’m happy to contribute. I can’t waiiit for this!! 🔥🔥🔥

Babs

You may have missed the point of the album. This album is a story for the people who keep saying they want the old Slim. He is saying that once you get beyond the shock value of the bars there is nothing of value there so he is passed that.

Kevin Steen Steals Plates

Favorite moment was Slim taking over the song and interpolating “Ha.”

Arie

On the Habits track that Avengers Assemble / A Symbol, Prints/Prince bar was 🔥🔥🔥

Bret Amery

i fr fuck with a lot of flows, schemes and melodies in this album, but i can't get over how patetic eminem sounds clinging to his so called freedom of speech. He has been saying whattever the fuck he wants with barely no repercurssion for decades and that's fine, but if his"speech is free as his choice to choose gender is" then he could be taking ANY other approach with his music too. Like, Kendrick really just sat down in Mr. Morale to talk about issues lk abuse, missoginy and transphobia while not even trying to "please" the public. Eminem seems stuck to this idea of war for freedom when there's SO much more different stuff he could be saying atp in his career.

Lucas Loesch Vilhena

Exactly. The question should have been "why did he say that?" And not whether he should have included it or not. There's usually a reason and him being accused of being on that list, more than justifies it. Either way, there should be no limits at all. Comedians joke about the holocaust and 9/11 all the time.

Ingrid Kiss

Everybody get's the sSZA and the Cut part of the bar on antichrist but they don't get the "press's wet dream" next. It's litteraly wet (Two grils pussies scisoring) and wet dream is sexual dream and nicky and meg doing that is a wet dream for people and the press too. that whole shit is crazy

Christophe Kanaa

Yeah I just watched Rob Markman’s review of the album and realized I was wrong lol

tgood

You guys should really do the slim shady LP, Mashall Mathers LP and Eminem Show. I see you don't get the Christopher Reeves song which you will by really checking out the old albums. You wont regret it.

Michel van Eck

We need that Common & Pete Rock next

Yaolvin Cambridge

The album gets better when you get the concept an how each verse in the first half is an interaction between slim an marshall. Great album from a legend of the game

Bank$-$avagE

For those of who dont know this is the conceptual storline for the album that most of you missed . The first half is a story being told. The album starts with the track 'Renaissance'. Old school Slim Shady is roaming the streets of current school hip hop trying to see what's what. He's unhappy with the state of hip hop and he wants to bring his old ways into new school hip hop, like what the Italians did to bring back the ways of the classical period. He then lures Eminem on the song 'Habits' and then he intoxicates and kidnaps Em on the transition song 'Trouble' (this can be interpreted as Marshall 'relapsing' on drugs like back in the day) . From then on he takes control of Eminem with the goal of getting him cancelled by being offensive and fueling as much rage as possible. This would ruin eminems relationships, reputation , career, and legacy The story is then a power struggle between Em and Slim. Slim uses his control to make a new album, call it "new slim shady LP" for the sake of the story, attacks innocent and harmless people on social media and trys to be an A-HOLE to everyone around him. He tries to convince Eminem that he is an inherently bad person and that embarcing Slim shady is in his nature on the song 'Evil'. Slim starts wrecking havoc and social media on the song 'lucifer' just to gaslight and provoke people. He then tries to avoid any accountability of his actions by shifting the blame to Eminem on the song 'Antichrist'. Slim tries to aggregate people prone to violence on 'Fuel' i.e. school shooters. Slim is starts falling deeper into madness and starting to approacing critical mass on "Road Rage" even go so far as to try and revert Ems appearance back to his look in the 2000s i.e. bleached blonde hair . However, throughout all of this we can still here Eminem fighting for control by trying to talk sense into shady but it's not working. We also hear an alarm clock ringing at various points followed by a scream, these are the pre-indications that Eminem is having a nightmare but he cant wake up, its like slim shady is keeping him in some kind of sleep paralysis. Paul Rosenberg heres the new album a slim shady controlled Eminem has been working on and completey disassociates himself from it, thereby ending his 25 year partnership with Em. Shady then releases his new album with its lead single being Houdini to the world. The album angers many people who are now protesting against Eminem. Then the album cones to a climax where Eminem brutally confronts slim with truths that he's not ready to hear on the song Guilty conscience 2, Em manges to kill shady once and for all and he wakes up. It was all a nightmare fuele by eminems subconscious. The rest of the album is the resolve/epilogue that takes place in the real modern day. It's giving us an insight into who eminem is now without slim shady. We get a look into what his priorities as are as a rapper and as a person . Now that he is free of slim shady he can finally move on and just be the best version of eminem he can possibly be. He Hex asserting his status and skill on songs like Head houncho, fittingly with his new protege by his side EZ Mil. He can fly the flag high for his city detrior by teaming up with BiG sean and an emerging Baby tron And now that hes free of slim shady , Marshall can finally start giving more attention to his loved ones. He makes a heartfelt ballad Temporary to his daughter Hailie, who recently got married, as a comforting lullaby for when hes gone. He apologises to his other loced ones for being so neglectful kf them for all these years on Somebody save me. Thats the synopsis of the death of slim shady. This is the story Em is trying to telling you. Hope it help. Ps.I read this on another forum an copied n pasted it

Bank$-$avagE

Nah brand new dance was cut from encore

Bank$-$avagE

The way y’all get hyped and offended on behalf of shady at 1:30:00 is so funny 😂

S.

Guess who’s back skit is Ken Kaniff from back in the day

Daniel Webb

I will say - ya’ll misinterpreted the 2004 Brand New Dance, he didn’t make that song in 2004. What he meant: in 2004 on the album “Encore” Eminem had several references to Christopher Reeves, making fun of his paralysis over and over, and people thought it was severely distasteful, because Christopher Reeves had just died before Encore released in 2004. So “Guilty Conscience 2” Shady says to Eminem “I think he did that shit (died) just to ruin the song for us” Brand New Dance is a new song for this album, and it’s impressive he was able to capture that old sound and cadence

tgood

Hands down

julivntorres808

Will there be a reaction for the common album?

Lukas

By far the best reaction channel in existence - it’s not even close my boys. Salute

tgood

I thought the songs “Habits” and “Lucifer” were maybe the best produced songs I have ever heard. Definitely think they were the best Dre produced songs I have ever heard. Cool that he has gotten better with age like Em

Redibelle

He was accused of being on Epstein's Island, so he's responding to the rumors mockingly. Not an excuse, but that's the reason lmao

So Lao

We need the bonus tracks too guys! They hard af!

I love ya prince but why was it so hard to believe or wrap your head around he was including himself with Epsteins island plane thing. He didn’t make it hard to get. Bruh it’s slim shady. He is a sick man bro 😂😂😅 but he said people took his lyrics too literal so just understand it is shady and he the insane side of em but it was a bit too far but we should expect that lol. No one including you prince should just be okay with the bar. But that’s the point brotha

Damn, it took you to Antichrist to recognize the voice switch 😂 When you re-listen to it you can hear it's the old voice/Slim going back and forth with Marshall almost in every song, the rap flow is even old Eminem during the Slim parts and it's great. The Epstein thing is Slim rapping (old Em voice) so that's why he going even more crazy, you probably understand it already but just want to put it out there.

Somebody Save Me, is a song that fits between Castle and Arose, it's tied to hose, and i think Temporary too. I won't spoil why, but you need to do those 2. I've been requesting that for years, both songs, in order, in the same video, they're tied. They are Stan level

Common and Pete rock album Reaction 🤔

I think there is more to that Epstein bar. This goes back to either Trump or Diddy. It is something about Ben Affleck. There was some kind of story about Affleck and a specific story about missing a plane with Epstein or something. I have to chew on it more….

I recommend at least putting the reaction to the first song public on on your channel. It really shows why your reactions are different than what else is out there. Amazing job as always, thanks for the video.

Y’all probably know by now, but Christopher Reeves I’d dead. Like since the early 2000s. Em also dissed him before on one of his early albums I can’t remember which specifically at the moment.
