2024-06-14 10:54:46 +0000 UTCAs someone who’s just a casual Vince Staples listener, I’m pleasantly surprised by how much I liked this. I mostly see him in TV spots and internet clips. I only hear bits and pieces of his music here and there. I’m definitely going to dive into other compote projects. My favorite was Black & Blue. This is something I’m going to play in my car during a commute. The perfect length for my drive to and from work.

2024-06-05 12:17:42 +0000 UTCSomething I noticed is that Liars is about a woman asking a man to lie to her so that SHE feels better. In Justin, the woman is lying to a man to make HIM feel better. I actually think Vince is saying women lie a lot and that is obviously bad, but they also make mistakes and lie to keep their man happy. Its a refreshing take showcasing how yes lying is bad but sometimes telling the truth is worse.
