2025-12-02 02:51:18 +0000 UTCThe simbol is a real alchemical symbol known as the Flamel Cross, it should symbolise the "fixing of the volatile” and It should refer to creating the perfect element, so the elixir of life or philosopher stone, also the snake represents mercury, that was a core elements for alchemists… that is as far as I know, I’m not really an expert😅, but basically all the symbols in FMA mean something, and are real historical alchemy symbols (like the one on Mustang’s hand has the symbol for all the elements except water… for clear reasons, plus a salamander and a sun, also symbolising fire) even the symbols on the door when they go through the portal are for actual alchemy books
