I think it was dangers in my heart back then and I absolutely loved watching your reactions. It was one of the things that kept me going by giving me something to look forward to. I’m going through something very similar again this year, so I’m back and I wanted to thank you for always being this place I could come back to where, at least for a while, I could forget about those things and be happy for a while. I truly appreciate it. Much more than I am able to express.

In her explanation she implied that her scholarship could be pulled if the teachers found out she is associating with a Chidori student. Her struggle is because she wants to protect her but she also saw how happy Kaoruko was with Rintaro.

It's more of she's been protecting me all this while, now I will protect her from getting expelled from Kikyo or something like that.. She's just too anxious about the schools and the fact the Kikyo's teachers hate Chidori more than the students themselves
