Great reaction though, Herbert is a great album and demands repeat listens as there is so much to explore/uncover. Fallacy is my fav song off the project so far.

Do better and it be like that probably my fav songs based off them being so relatable. It tell myself I need to do better and it be like that almost daily, never ending cycle of trying, succeeding, or failure and I tell myself it be like that and keep it pushing. If yall never heard control system you should 10000% check it out, its his most known album, then I would check out long term mentality

2022-12-29 14:58:29 +0000 UTCthis album was more personal and more mainstream compared to albums like Do What Thou Wilt and Control System, you guys should check those out fully, especially CS, that album has arguably his best-ever song and is heavily focused on conspiracy/theology. It might not seem like it, but he did tone down his lyricism on this one, check out CS and DWTW and you'll know what he meant when he said he didn't focus on bars that much. The themes of suicide on this hit a lot harder when you know his past experiences on older albums with loved ones and suicide. He also said he was too deep into the rabbit hole of conspiracies on those albums so that's why HERBERT is so significant because he just talks about himself and where he comes from.

Never heard him as hungry as he was on "Illuminate" with Kendrick. Easily the strongest lyricist in TDE, especially now that Kendrick left. I'd argue he could stand his ground against Kendrick in any era.
