2023-04-01 05:16:23 +0000 UTCHas anyone ever thought about the bar in premonition when he says "The only way you're ahead of me is alphabetically, cuz if you diss me I'm coming after U like the letter V" So clearly one reference is the alphabetical order V coming after U, but my first thought when I first heard that line was the Movie "V for Vendetta" which is about a guy going after people , murdering them that have been doing (him) wrong. Am I reaching here? Or has this really been missed by most people. Just putting it out there as I've been sitting on this since the album came out 🤣🤔

Would be cool if you guys did a breakdown of it sometime, I know alot of people that would love to hear you guys talk about it :)

The way he draws out the metaphor of dealing with his pre-show anxiety by getting loaded against the Vegas shooting in 2017 is amazing. Magazines on the floor, fuck the media. Can't kill a show no one's at. Alcohol on his breath, reaching for the scope. Locked and loaded for rapid fire spittin. And then, top end the song he jumps out of the metaphor and literally starts pulling the trigger.. as if that outcome was just as likely due to his headspace on drugs as it was during the actual tragedy in Vegas. Flawless track from the concept to the execution to the production. Top 1% of Em's catalog.
