Chapter 50: Morning Star Unleashed

Underworld [Bael Territory]

Zakram Bael, empowered by the king piece, engaged in a fierce battle against Mio and Maria, with both women utilizing their devil gears and magic to match the enhanced strength of Bael. The fight was evenly matched as they clashed with their full capabilities.

Mio wields her devil gear as a choker, granting her the ability to unleash god-slaying flames and utilize gravity magic from a distance. In contrast, Maria dons her devil gear as gauntlets, which are empowered by the flames of the red dragon, enabling her to use key magic and gravity magic effectively in close quarters, setting her apart from her sister.

"You two aren't as terrible as I thought; you have some strength in you. If you cease your fighting, I might consider letting you join my harem," Zakram contemplated, seeing potential in the two demon women from a fallen clan. He believed they could serve him well and help bear his offspring while providing him with enjoyment.

"Ugh," Mio exclaimed, her expression twisted in revulsion at the idea of Zakram's hands on her. "I'd rather die than allow someone like you to lay a finger on me."

"Are you attempting to make us feel sick, old man?" Maria remarked, her expression reflecting sheer revulsion.

Zakram's face flushed with rage and humiliation at the harsh denial of his kind proposal. "I'll slaughter you all and display your bodies on my wall," the ancient demon snarled, ready to strike when a surge of a familiar dark energy swept through the vicinity.

"What is that?" Maria shouted, her gaze fixed on Bael, though her mind was elsewhere. She could feel Naruto's presence, but alongside him was an overwhelming and malevolent demonic energy that made her struggle to suppress a shiver of fear.

Mio was experiencing a similar sensation, and the three demons were aware of the immense energy they were sensing, though it was even greater than before.

"Lord Lucifer," Bael exclaimed, overwhelmed with shock and fear. Even now, he recalled the creator of the devil race, a being of pure malevolence whom he sought to erase from the memories of all in the underworld. If he had somehow survived, everything Bael had worked for would be in jeopardy. "How can this be happening?"

Bael Territory

Beyond the conflict involving Zakram and Naruto's wives, the resurrected shinobi stood facing Lord Bael, his son, and Lord Belial outside the Bael Mansion.

Naruto stared at Lord Bael, or who he believed is Lord Bael, in shock. Around the man's neck hung a choker featuring a red gem at its center, but to Naruto, it resembled a collar meant for a dog.

Magdaran Bael and Lord Belial both glanced at Lord Bael in disbelief, though their reactions stemmed from different causes. Magdaran, being too young, had no recollection of the voice that emanated from the choker, a voice that was meant to signify death long before his time. In contrast, Lord Belial recognized that voice all too well and was filled with shock and disbelief.

"Ah, so you're finally revealing your true self, you betrayer," came the unmistakable voice of Lord Lucifer, the ruler of demons, from the choker around Lord Bael's neck. "I've been waiting a long time to settle the score for what you did."

"Father, what's going on?" Magdaran inquired anxiously. Although he wasn't very close to his father, he respected him as the leader of their clan and a prominent devil he admired.

"I have no idea!" Lord Bael yelled in desperation, struggling to free himself with minimal success. "Quick, get this off of me!"

Magdaran gazed at the collar encircling his father's neck, ready to unleash the force of destruction to remove it, but Lord Balial intervened, blocking his path.

"What are you up to, Lord Balial?" Magdaran exclaimed, astonished at the man his father regards as his most trusted ally. "Step aside so I can remove that thing from father's neck."

"I cannot fulfill that request, young master," Lord Balial declared, tears of happiness welling in his eyes. "Are you not aware of who has claimed your father? That magnificent presence can only belong to Lord Lucifer."

Magdaran glanced at his father and then at Lord Balial, realizing the truth in his words: his father was under the influence of the being that originated the devil race. This left him with a dilemma—should he battle to rescue his father, or allow events to unfold as they may?

"Move aside, Lord Balial," Magdaran declared after contemplating his next move. Ultimately, Lord Lucifer was unfamiliar to him, and it was his father whom he truly respected. "Otherwise, you will meet your downfall."

"I am so disappointed young master," Lord Balial said with a look of pity at Magdaran "I would think you would know better, even if he is just a shadow of his former self Lord Lucifer is a thousand times more important than your father."

Magdaran knew he would not be able to talk Lord Balial into stepping aside so he could help his father much less him so with his demonic aura explode from his body he attacked Lord Balial who did the same but use his clan signature magic to negate Magdaran power of destruction.

Naruto and Lord Lucifer paid no attention to the two fighters as they faced off and engaged in battle, concentrating solely on the real danger posed by one another.

Naruto quietly remarked, "So that's the reason you're still breathing," as he examined the choker around Lord Bael's neck, recognizing it as a devil accessory. "You must have sealed a fragment of your soul within it."

"You think you've got it all figured out, huh? Well, guess what? It won't change a damn thing!" Lord Lucifer growled, his voice dripping with malice as a sinister aura enveloped Lord Bael. "I'm coming for you, and when I'm done, I’ll make sure everyone you care about suffers a slow, excruciating demise!"

"I won't allow that to occur," Naruto declared, though he was puzzled. "If you've been alive this whole time, why did you choose to wait to confront me and conceal your presence?"

Naruto inquired about this because, at that moment, his group was more powerful than the pillar devil faction. Therefore, it would have been advantageous for Lord Lucifer to strike the emerging demon faction while they were still in their formative stages.

The Blonde Devil was aware that Lord Lucifer still had allies among both the anti-Satan group and the extra demon faction. If it became known that he was alive, many would choose to rally around him.

"Do you really believe I'm an idiot?" Lord Lucifer growled. "When you ended my life, my consciousness came to life in this vulnerable form. If I had revealed myself then, you, Zakram, or any of my foes would have taken me out." After a moment of contemplation, he continued, "I also needed you to collect things you hold dear so that I could strip it all away from you."

"I understand now," Naruto said quietly. The soul of Lord Lucifer in Lord Bael's devil gear likely only awakened upon his death, and since it wasn't his full soul, it must have been weakened. It made sense for him to remain concealed in that condition. However, Naruto couldn't shake off the fact that the power he felt from Lord Lucifer was far from weak.

"That's great, because now I'm going to wipe you from existence," Lucifer declared through the collar, while Lord Bael stared at his devil gear in shock.

The devil gear was set to be handed over to Lord Bael just before the climactic battle in the great war. He had believed that Lord Lucifer had finally acknowledged his significance, but it turned out that the father of devils was merely exploiting him like he had done with countless others in the past.

"What are you doing?" Lord Bael shouted as he used all his willpower to reclaim control of one of his hands. He tried to take off the devil gear, but his other hand acted on its own accord and slapped his hand away from the collar. "Give me back control of my body!"

With a malevolent laugh, Lord Lucifer proclaimed, "Absolutely not, you fool. You ought to feel fortunate that you can be of service to me," as a dark energy surrounded Lord Bael.

"I have no idea what you're up to, but I'm putting an end to it," Naruto shouted, standing directly in front of Lord Bael with a sphere of condensed darkness in his hand. "This ends now," the leader of the Extra demons declared as he drove the attack into Lord Bael's chest.

The impact was immediate as the sphere of darkness grew, consuming Lord Bael, who cried out in agony while being torn apart by the gravitational pull of Naruto's technique, which resembled the force of a black hole.

Naruto felt a sense of satisfaction as he saw Lord Bael fall to his attack, but that feeling was fleeting. He could still detect Lord Lucifer's power, although it felt different this time. It bore a resemblance to Ophis's power, the essence of an infinite being.

"I have been anticipating this day for quite some time," Lord Lucifer's voice emerged from the swirling dust, "I needed to be patient and gather the strength of Trihexa, but the wait has certainly been worth it."

Naruto observed, beads of sweat trickling down his forehead, as Lord Lucifer's voice resonated. He was no longer just a voice trapped within the collar of Lord Bael; the Morning Star had been reborn, but he was not the same as before. Although he still possessed his strikingly handsome features and white-silver hair, the twelve wings on his back resembled those of a bird, dragon, bat, and other creatures. Additionally, his eyes had changed, one appearing red with a slit, while the other resembled that of a goat.

"This isn't good," Naruto thought, recalling how Lord Lucifer confronted the biblical God long ago. At that time, he could only tap into a small portion of the apocalypse beast's power, but it appeared he had now fully mastered it. "What should I do?"
