MMPR - Hyena Hijinks (Blue Ranger)

Lord Zedd furiously stomped through his Moon Palace. His plan to destroy the Power Rangers had once again been foiled and his latest monster bested by their Thunder Megazord. He couldn’t fathom how his monsters could continue to fall at the hands of these pesky do-gooders. 

While Zedd through his tantrum, his servants tried their best to calm his fury. Goldar assured his master that they would crush the rangers with their next plan, but Zedd’s rage would not subside. 

“Might I make a suggestion, my Lord?” A meek voice piped up. It was Finster, the former monster creator for Rita Repulisa. Ever since Lord Zedd had taken control of operations at the Moon Palace, Finster’s monsters had been deemed too weak. But the wizard had a new revolutionary idea. “I believe I have a solution that will render the rangers completely helpless,” Finster proclaimed. 

“Finster, you think your pitiful monsters can accomplish my superior monster can not?! I am not in the mood for such jokes” Zedd shouted with heated rage. 

“I merely want to offer my assistance, my Lord” Finster nervously reassured, trying his best not to further anger his master. “We have done some reconnaissance on the human species in the hopes of uncovering a weakness that we can exploit. I believe we have found such a weakness!”

“A weakness, you say? Go on then” Zedd gestured with intrigue. 

“Baboo and Squatt were down on earth the other day and observed humans partaking in odd combat style. They were able to render their opponent completely helpless with just mere touches and pokes. They referred to it as ‘Tickling’ and it seems to affect almost all humans.”

“Hmmm using one of the human’s own attacks against them? I enjoy the sound of this plan very much, Finster! I take it you have a monster that can specialize in this ‘Tickle Attack’ style?” questioned Zedd.

“I have just the monster ready, my Lord! I call him the ‘Hyena Quinn.’ He will have those ranger helpless with crazed laughter in no time.” Finster proclaimed with giddy excitement. 

“Good, send him out immediately and take down those ranger one by one!” Zedd ordered.

Later that day, Billy was enjoying a walking around the Angel Grove park. He was conducting some research on insect for a science paper he was writing, and he was throughly engrossed in his studies. These days off from fighting space monsters didn’t come often, so the rangers would always take advantage of them in their own ways. Tommy, Rocky, and Adam were off training at the juice bar, while Kimberly and Aisha were out of town for a dance competition. This left Billy on his own to enjoy a quiet day of science. 

Unfortunately for Billy, that quiet day was cut short. Without warning, Putty Patrollers appeared trying to ambush him. “Aww come on guys, can’t I just enjoy my day here” Billy sighed. A few Putty Patrollers were more of a nuisance than anything for the ranger, and Billy was able to easily fend them off. But just as Billy thought he had bested Lord Zedd’s latest plans, the Hyena Quinn monster appeared in poof of smoke and feathers. 

“HO HO HO! Hello little ranger! Are you ready to giggle for me? HE HE HE!” teased Hyena Quinn as he danced around. 

“Oh man, Zedd’s monsters just keep getting creepier. I better take this fight away from the park.” Billy said as you dashed off to some near by warehouses. “Looks like it’s Morphin’ Time. Triceratops!” shouted Billy as he transformed into the Blue Ranger. 

“HO HO HO! Your little transformation trick won’t protect you from my tricks HE HE HE! Here comes the Tickle Monster HO HO HO!” taunted Hyena Quinn, as he waved his scepter around in the air. The sight of that giant furry ball at the end of the scepter definitely had Billy a bit nervous, especially with all these strange threats of tickling. 

Hyena Quinn lunged at Billy and the two exchange a few kicks and punches. Suddenly Hyena swung his scepter at Billy, brushing his back and forth against his torso. Billy was shocked by the sensation that ran through his body. The monster’s magic was able to tickle the ranger through his uniform. Billy stumbled forward as he let out helpless giggles and tried to cover his sides. 

“HE HE HE! That’s it little ranger, let’s hear more of that wonderful laughter! Here’s a magic trick to help you out!” Hyena cackled while waving his scepter in the air. A flurry of feathers appeared and began circling around Billy, sending him into wild fits of laughter. 

“AAhhHAHAhaha NO NO STOP HEEEHEHEHEHEHEH Not feathers!” Billy protested through his giggles, trying to swat the feathers away.

The feather engulfed Billy and then a huge puff of smoke filled the air. As the smoke cleared, Billy realized his wrist and ankles were not strapped against a surface. He looked around in shock and noticed it was a giant roulette wheel. Around the edge of the wheel were more of the large fluffy feathers that had been teasing him seconds ago. A horrified look fell across Billy’s face as Hyena Quinn wrapped his claws around the wheel. 

“HO HO HO! Are you feeling lucky today, Ranger? Let’s spin the wheel and find out!” Hyena taunted as you gave the wheel a powerful spin. 

The feathers spun around the wheel in swift blur, brushing against Billy’s face and feet. Hyena Quinn cackled with joy watching the helpless ranger squirm. To Billy’s dismay, the laughing beast started using his scepter again to tickle his toned torso. Billy completely dissolved into helpless laughter as his whole body was tickled. He could only pray that his teammates would find him somehow and free him from the clutches of this tickle monster.
