Nobody is talking about how BADASS MAGGIE IS!!! Maggie and Michonne will always be the HARDEST female characters!! Luckily there are more to come, but I can’t say too much 🤭

Anaya Imari

nah Ramsay made Joffrey look like a boy scout

Mark Laniel

obviously governor is worse but it's not like Shane was good. Once he decided early on in the first season to contemplate killing Rick he was done....comeplete a-hole. He was only out there to fulfill his fantasy of living with Lori and Carl. He didn't truly care about the trest and he sacrificed Otis which went away from the prinicples of the rest of the group.

Mark Laniel

I think if Lori died earlier on and Shane stuck with Rick they'd bring the best of each other out and the two of them would probably get along since current Rick's decision making is already very similar to season 1 Shane's. Though yeah if Lori was still around and Rick was gone, he'd likely become a villain.

Enemy

The governor absolutely doesn't come close to Shane, Shane had a mental breakdown after killing Otis, he wasn't a cold blooded psychopath.

Enemy

Merle*, let's not write it how they like to pronounce it or they will make those same mistakes again 🤣

Oriana Lo Presti

We got our next black guy replacement since the prisoner died lol. It went t dog~oscar(prisoner) to Tyrese (that’s his name)😅

Shawneeboy

Seasons 3 through 9 have 16 episodes each, and every episode 8’s are usually bigger with a lot happening or cliffhanger endings because they are mid season finales when it was airing on tv. We always had to wait like 1 or 2 months to get the next episode after. The waiting sucked every season.

Cinemaslave

The Governor is scum !!!!! NO comparison to Shane lol , Shane is a man who lost himself as Rick said. Shane never showed he was capable of doing the thing Philip did. disgusting !

Jonathan G

TWD has fantastic mid-season and final episodes! Season 3 takes such a turn from the cozy farm in season 2, I think season 3 really hammers in the nail on the possible (and dangerous) conflicts. I remember when season 3 aired and the "quote" for the season on the promo pics was "Fight the dead. Fear the living.", it's all about showing how people are worse than the walkers. Love that you are enjoying the transition of the show! Only goes up from here! Also, governor is def worse than Shane.

Skyler Browning

The Governor, top 3 villain I'd say. Maybe top 5? Saw a comment that Shane could've become a Governor-like character if he continued living and killed off Rick, which is plausible but since it didn't happen let's just remember that Shane was kind of a badass until he lost the plot. Personally I feel that some of the future losses are way more impactful than losing Shane but that is because Shane lost it, and others didn't and are considered... the good guys. Always looking forward to another reaction of Spartan and Pudgey to The Walking Dead!

Anta Dasu

The Governor is an amazing villain. The thing that is so terrifying to me about him is that even though he may not have much "muscle" as someone like Shane, he is incredibly sharp and masterful at emotional manipulation...which to me, is so sinister. Michonne referred to him as a "Jim Jones type" and if you know anything about Jim Jones...he was effective for a reason. I think viewers underestimate how easily people can be influenced to follow you and do your bidding if you know how to manipulate them enough.

ZK

Love seeing the group's badass teamwork!!

Rylee

I don’t know if you noticed, when Carl was going after the new group he stopped at the door to the room where Lori died! It’s sad but I love how the show keeps her around in memory.

Tyler Janes

Exactly. Shane is iconic. Most people just don’t act the way they do about him. He could do no wrong in their eyes.

Kay Renee’

The way you reacted to this episode, jumping up and down and stuff, you might wanna get some seatbelts for future episodes my guys

Martin Gašpar

Yeah I agree I don’t think I hated any villain as much as the governor. Actually maybe Joffrey from GOT & him are on par 🤣

Natalie-Anne

Shane would dog walk the Governor everyday of the week lol The Governor isn't really about like Shane is, he's soft. You can tell.

Richiep

I was frustrated with Michonne’s lack of communication in previous episodes. In her face off with Andrea this episode though, I think there were no words. Her friend is pointing a gun at her and she’s not even asking what’s going on. Definitely too far gone I’d think if I were her.

ShanB

Ha! The “we loved it!” perfectly in sync was too cute 😆. I was fanning out during the Shane scene myself. I almost hoped it was real on first watch

ShanB

"Ok, no question that the Governor is just evil, any comparisons to Shane are ludicrous." I respect your opinion but there are plenty of comparisons to draw. There are levels to what 'evil' can be and do. As plenty of people have pointed out below, I would without a doubt agree with them in that The Governor was probably a reletively normal guy before the outbreak, and circumstances led him to do evil things. The Governor had been exposed to that world for longer than Shane so we were able to see more of the progression in regards to what a post-apocalytic world can do to a person. If Shane had murdered Rick and successfully convinced Lori that he died under different circumstances, do you think he would have stopped there? No. He would have carried on doing EVIL things (yes, attempting to murder your best friend in order to essentially steal his family is pure evil. There's no ifs or buts there). Shane would have become what The Governer became over time - if not something worse.

Damon Shaw

Guys did yall miss how Merle told the Governor he killed Michonne? Then she kills his “daughter” and stabs him in the eye 😂. That’s why he was grilling Merle like that.. the look of loathing Edit: glad Spartan caught on by the end of the episode 👌

ShanB

No we don't hate Shane more than Philipp. Most of us didn't even hate Shane. Shane was an epic character. We just saw he was losing the plot, and had to go. But Shane will forever remain epic

Oriana Lo Presti

Ok, no question that the Governor is just evil, any comparisons to Shane are ludicrous. Loved hearing Spartan say he’d quit the show if they kill Daryl… lot of people were thinking that, I still have my coffee mug with a crossbow handle that says “if Daryl dies we riot!” 😃 One hell of an episode. This was the mid season finale, we had to wait 6 weeks or so until the next episode when it aired . Spartans face when hallucination Shane showed up… priceless!!! Haha Also the whole “you’re not a lesbian?” Cracks me up every time 🤣🤣🤣

Bill B.

38:37 I'm not sure if you remember and picked up on it here, but Meryl lied to The Governor about killing Michonne either last episode or the one before that. That's why Meryl murdered that guy. He was going to tell The Governor the truth and Meryl didn't want that. The look that The Governor gave Meryl right there was him blaming Meryl for his daughter's death and for losing his eye. If Meryl had done his job, none of this would have happened in The Governor's eyes (or in this case - eye 😂).

Damon Shaw

The episode when Fred Johnson time travels and descends from Tycho Station into the zombie filled woods of Georgia! Been waiting for this one for a while!!!!

Bill B.

Both Andrea and Michonne are really annoying this season. Andrea for being so blind and Michone for a near complete lack of communication skills. So much could be avoided if she'd just speak occasionally.

John Neiberger

I have to say, this season used to be my favourite when I was younger, but on rewatch and I watched the whole show recently, I think this is my least favourite of the first half of the seasons, although it's still good. I just think that 16 episodes doesn't really work as well for this season and the extra length is resulting in some characters making dumb decisions to draw out runtime such as not speaking up, making contradictory decisions, generally being unobservant or just plain stupid and it gets frustrating, mainly thinking of Michone and Andrea. However as despicable as the Governor is, I just love when he's on screen, just a classic TV villain, insane and evil with very few redeeming qualities, he really makes this season for me. Season 3 does get much much better in this last stretch, but in my view is overshadowed by what is to come, so if you're having a good time now, man you still ain't seen nothing.

James Waters

IMO the governor is a sociopath through and through showing killing purely for the sake of it and actually like getting off on playing a game with people mentally and a manipulator, I'm far from Shane's biggest fan but the guy wasnt a sociopath he never showed those signs. He was a man who was losing his mind/humanity in an apocalypse which is a very realistic depiction of what many people would be like tbh

Charlyn

I hate the Governer as well, but I did sympathize with his relationship with his daughter and not wanting to let go even though she's already gone. Great reaction as always S&P!

Alex Walker

BRUH I was crying when he said that shit lol!

Alex Walker

While I agree the Governor is a talented liar, Andrea is stupid and a horrible judge of character. She liked Shane who was openly crazy.

JonSnow21

Facts and it’s weird how they didn’t sympathise with the Governor going crazy over losing his daughter but loved Shane who went crazy over his best friend’s wife. To me the Governor going crazy is more valid.

JonSnow21

Agreed

JonSnow21

Guys good reaction! But I will say that the Governor didn’t get destroyed by Michonne as Pudgey said and let’s not get it twisted, she’s a beast but it was a very small room where she got a piece of glass and Spartan said that Shane would destroy the Governor in a fight lol? I’m ngl I think the Governor is beating Shane 8 out 10 times in hand to hand combat, he’s 6’4 and a beast and let’s be real here while Shane is a great fighter, he lost to the weakest version of Rick so yea we have to be realistic here. I said this before but I will again, the Governor is worse than Shane as a person but you guys loved Shane with a passion so it’s kinda contradictory for Pudgey to say she hates the Governor more than any character ever considering I do believe that Shane would kill innocent people just like Phillip did . Also the reason Rick was harsh with Michonne at the end was bc she disappeared without telling anyone where she went which is why he was extra cautious.

JonSnow21

I never hated Shane, I don't think anyone really 'hates' him.... it just seemed like you guys let a lot slide and didn't see what the writers were showing us with his character. I think THAT is what frustrated people towards you and your love for Shane. The truth is, he WAS a great friend to Rick, a brother... but he lost the plot. He wasn't built for this world and he cracked. He HAD to have Lori and Carl to look after so that he could keep going on and he couldn't do it without them. His need to have them to protect had overridden everything else about who he was. He wasn't a bad guy at heart, we just wanted you to see what was happening to him. I hated when he died. The Governor is much worse, however, I do believe that Shane would have turned out a lot like him if he had of lived. Don't forget, he wanted to kill Randal, the kid, just incase.... he had the same mentality as the Governor, protect what is yours at all costs and don't consider others. This is exactly opposite of Rick, which is what makes Rick a good leader. I don't think the Governor was always a bad guy either... he loved his daughter so much... but his was of thinking drove him to where he is AND his way of thinking is very similar to Shane's.

Korivex

The pattern. The pattern!

Golladan

Spartan said, "The other guys being a creep, were gonna lose them both" bruhhhhh 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣

DRIP DROP

Ahhh that good ole Shane glazing 🤣🤣🤣. My opinion is, we saw how Shane was only a few months after the start of everything and he was ready to sacrifice Otis and assaulted Lori at the CDC. He Said that if hershal didn't understand then they would make him and possibly take over the farm and he attempted to kill his BEST FRIEND twice and threatened Dale. If you fast forward almost a full year after the start of the apocalypse, if resources were low and Shane wanted to provide you dont think he would kill innocent people? He most definitely would. The governor is litterally Shane if that much time had passed. The only people that would matter are the ones at his camp and it wouldn't matter what happened to anyone else

Tae Kellz

Hmm who’s worse Shane or the governor, interesting question 🤔.. I’m gonna only judge governor up til episode point so if I HAD to pick I’ll say governor is SLIGHTLY 😅worse

Shawneeboy

"If Daryl Dies, We Riot" Became a rally cry during this season lol David Morrisey is a brilliant actor to make the audience hate him so much lol I still hate Joffrey more than Governor though Shane is far more likable as a character

Nathan Jasper

I can't really fault Andrea too much, The Governor is a talented liar. She wants to be fooled because she wants the fairy tale to be true. I think Michonne stays silent because she's smart enough to know when people won't believe her no matter what she says. Better to let them blow off steam, then reason with them once they've calmed down.
