you guys might be the first reactors to pick up that lori got mad because carl put him down not for rick killing shane!! everyone always villainizes her for that but the entire time rick is telling her he killed shane she doesn't react all that much, not until he mentions carl

THIS ISN’T NO DEMOCRACY ANYMORE!!! Classic! One of the greatest scenes!!! They tried to turn on Rick over some bullshit! He said AHT AHT! Try again! Go out on your own and see where that gets you! They got real quiet lmaoooo!!!

Now that you guys finished the season I can share this since it isn't a spoiler. The cool thing about how Spartan interpreted Shane's final scene is that that was exactly Jon's suggestion for the character that they scrapped later, Jon's idea was for Rick to check Shane's gun afterwards and the gun would be unloaded. So in Jon's mind while doing the scene, the reason why Shane kept taunting Rick was to prove wheter or not he could be the man who does the hard thing.

Great finale great reaction I'm really excited to see your reaction to S3 ❤️❤️

Ricks anger at the end was mostly because of the way Lori reacted to the news he killed Shane. I'm sure after that.. it hurt him ontop of all the pain he was already dealing with. THATS when he needed her support. She had no right to react that way to him. I hate Lori. Also.. Andrea. I just find her obnoxious. And oooo a Samurai. Can't wait for you guys to meet them.
Even if Lori's look of disgust was about Carl.. and I don't think it was.. She should be mad at herself for ONCE AGAIN, not watching the damn kid.

I'm pretty sure shanes gun was originally supposed to be unloaded and he actually lured rick out to kill him because he was losing it and couldn't take losing carl and lori, i saw this in an interview years ago and for whatever reason they changed it but i always preferred the idea that shane wanted rick to kill him and had an empty gun in that final scene

Spartan, I still can't understand your love for Lori Grimes. I don't get why you love her so much and wear a t-shirt with her face on it.

A lot of people get this wrong, and I did too years ago when I first watched. On rewatch, it's so so so obvious that it's about Carl, not Shane. She was listening on the Shane part and only reacted when he mentioned Carl. I have no idea why so many of us thought and think it's about Shane.

With Lori looking disgusted at Rick, I think its more to the fact that Carl was the one to put Shane down, someone that Carl looked up to a lot

I was always disappointed that the GoT aftershow was so sucky compared to the talking dead. I never missed an episode! The one with … well, uh, let’s say, when ‘someone’ was saying goodbye and how the didn’t realize their character would be cast off so fast. They had just bought a place close to set- well, I actually felt so bad for that actor.

I dunno if that would have been in line with how they had built Shane’s character, he had become a rabid dog by that point.

Their was talk about adding an extended moment during filming the show. Rick was always going to kill Shane but their was plans of an extention showing that Rick discovers that Shanes gun wasn't loaded. Meaning he was simply trying to scare him into line and setting a line in the sand. Spartan was technically correct with Shane playing "devils advocate" if they added that scene

You guys would have loved the The Talking Dead. It was on after every episode. Some actors from that episode would come on, fans would call in. If you're ever bored I'm sure you could find some of them to watch from your favorite episodes.

As you guys progress through the seasons of the show, it will become more apparent how much Rick killing Shane was a huge turning point for Rick's character arc and the group as a whole. I've really been enjoying re-watching the show through your guys first watch!

I did not see that coming ether. I loved Shane too but he did not choose his loyalty to Rick over his NEED for Lori.

Wrong. As you know they debated about how to handle the prisioner the prevuous episode and anticipated whether or not Shane would go along. We only find out when he breaks the guys neck and staged the woods chase to lure Rick. In fact Rick had to say it for viewers to know that Shane planned to kill him. Then Shane admitted it. Then we knew. Only then.

the comics are so good. The show is good, but having read the comics first it was sad how many characters were metaphorically assinated in the show.

One very last comment about Shane: if his attempt to kill Rick was shocking to you, which it very clearly was, then you've completely misunderstood the character. That's what people have been trying to get you to see. Because that scene was not supposed to be *that* surprising.
We were supposed to know or suspect. The entire episode built up to it. The entire season built up to it. Even Rick knew! And we the audience had more information than Rick. But you two were completely blind to that. No one who saw Shane for what he was (the guy who had *already* considered killing Rick!) was surprised. Shane didn't suddenly lose the plot. He had been losing the plot all season and even before. Shane's attempt to kill Rick was the logical conclusion to a tragedy that had been unfolding all season.
That's why people are on your case. We all love Darth Vader. He was cool af. But none of us thought he was a good guy. That's the difference. You two seemed to think that Shane was a fundamentally good guy who made the occasional mistake and sometimes went too far - when the show has made it blindingly clear for more than a season that no, this guy is bad news.
One last thing: what was it that was supposed to be put in place to prevent Shane from spiraling? Who was supposed to put that in place? Shane was a grown ass adult who couldn't deal with the reality that his best friend's family would never be his. No one owed him anything. And no one could have helped him. That, is the tragedy.

This episode is Rick officially stepping up and standing on business. These past two seasons Rick has been going back and forth, struggling with doing what’s right and what needs to be done. This is him finally putting his foot down and being the leader he needs to be

Let’s goooooooo now you get the reveal of what Jenner told Rick, Michonne, and Herschel unlimited ammo meme. Thank gooodness season 2 is done, now you can get to the good seasons. I think you would like the walking dead comics more. The show is a must watch don’t get me wrong but the comic is more like Spartan described at the beginning.
