Beyond Her Grasp

Report: 13th-14th May

We arrived on the morning of May 14th only to find, among other things, a statue of a young girl reaching desperately for something atop our workbench. Initial observations, later confirmed, surmised the statue as being comprised of solid GX in its metallic form. A look at the previous night's security footage answered many questions we had.

05-13 22:48 - [Records show a non-synced Level 3 entry card granting access to Lab 7A.]
22:48:09 - Unidentified woman - Caucasian or Asian, approximately 30? - appears on Lab 7A camera feed. 
22:48:13 - After a brief pause, she begins walking around, examining the shelves, searching for something specific. She appears to be reading the labels on the flasks.
22:49:45 - Says something inaudible, taking the flask of 5/11 Applied GX Lab Reg Serum from the top shelf of middle workbench.
22:49:49 - In her other hand she takes the adjacent flask, Treated Live GX Solution III (unmarked.)
22:49:51 - Woman sets the Live GX Solution III flask on the counter-top.
22:49:55 - After a moment staring at the flask, she imbibes over 95% of the Reg Serum.
22:50:08 - Woman is waiting. Inaudible audio.
22:50:42 - Woman begins trembling. Reg Serum's effects beginning to take hold. Over the course of an estimated 1 minute 17 seconds, she begins the regression process.
22:50:44 - Camera interference from GX particles begins.
22:50:52 - Screaming begins at physical compression and re-sculpting process. (Note: The 5/11 solution appears to be as painful as the 5/8 but without PT records, this cannot be discerned.)
22:50:58 - Woman staggers backwards slightly, clutching at her body. Screaming continues.
22:51:43 - Screaming ends.
22:51:57 - Process is estimated to have finished, with unidentified woman bearing the appearance of a girl aged roughly 10~12 years. Girl appears to be in a state of shock, standing and looking down at her hands and now ill-fitting clothing.
22:52:00 - GX camera distortion lessens but does not cease.
22:53:25 - Girl's stance livens up. She begins talking continuously (inaudible.)
22:54:15 - She steps toward the counter, shedding her oversized footwear.
22:54:19 - After almost stumbling twice, she reaches the counter.
22:54:21 - She takes the Live GX Solution into both hands, pacing backward carefully.
22:54:40 - She takes a small amount of the Live GX Solution III. 
22:54:52 - GX-related camera distortion intensifies.
22:54:56 - Girl hunches forward slightly, dropping the flask of Live III. It shatters.
22:54:59 - Girl takes a few slow steps toward the counter. Something appears to be wrong with her balance.
22:55:02 - Faint traces of GX begin to appear on her dress near her abdomen, steadily spreading.
22:55:05 - She gets to the counter, reaching for the Antiserum flask atop the workbench.
22:55:07 - Girl appears to extend her height via standing on her toes, but still cannot reach. At this point, her dress is composed of GX from chest to knees, with the effect spreading across to her lower hair.
22:55:10 - She places her left hand on the counter, still unable to reach the flask. She begins screaming.
22:55:11 - The first sign of GX over her skin shows, moving up her neck and down her left upper arm.
22:55:12 - Screaming ceases as her larynx is likely now converted.
22:55:13 - Arm almost waves in place before the encroaching GX locks the muscles in.
22:55:14 - Head is now completely converted, as is her dress in its entirety.
22:55:15 - Fingers twitch slightly before her hand is converted.
22:55:16 - Unidentified woman/girl now appears to be completely converted.
23:05:18 - Lights in Lab 7A shut off from lack of detected motion.
23:08:22 - Camera distortion ceases completely.

Though this provided the answers we were initially seeking, it only raised further questions. It is now hypothesized the Live GX III can actually be utilized to create more solid GX from organic compounds—this also has the added bonus of explaining why the incident affected her dress, assuming the material were organic in origin. Should this be as straightforward as the video seems to imply, this could be a massive development for GX applications, as obtaining it in its solid form has been a fruitless endeavor outside of the rifts.

The woman is/was still unidentified, though this falls outside of our purview. No sign of identification or even a cellphone could be located. We believe she incorrectly assumed the Live Solution III to instead be the 5/11 Applied GX Lab Reg Antiserum or GX Nullifier, which would mean she was connected to someone aware of 7A's activities. This would narrow down the list of possible accomplices or connections to no more than roughly 25, to say nothing of the supplier of the generic entry card. It is somewhat curious how savvy she seems to have been, only to take the actions she did and literally drink scientific compounds far beyond her grasp (pun notwithstanding.)

Regardless, Experiment Tray B (turned over for analysis) may contain her left thumbprint from her inadvertently touch, providing a possible clue to her identity. Later today, the statue will be collected by Studies; given the nature of GX, it is entirely possible the process can be reversed or that she may even be still conscious and aware of her status as we speak.

Then again, given the unprecedented, unpredictable and achronal nature of solid GX, it is also entirely possible we were experimenting on her from the beginning.
