By Popular Demand: Hardcore Edition - XP Rework for ATS! (Beta)

Calling all hardcore American truckers!

After the enthusiastic response to our ETS2 XP rework, we're bringing the challenge to American Truck Simulator! By popular demand, we're releasing a beta version of the GDC Logistics - Realistic Economy Mod - Hardcore Edition with a major overhaul of the XP progression system. Get ready for a more demanding and rewarding trucking career!

Why the XP Rework?

Just like in ETS2, we've heard your feedback and analyzed gameplay data. The previous XP system didn't quite capture the realism and long-term engagement we wanted. This new system is designed to provide a more gradual, balanced, and challenging progression, reflecting the true dedication required to succeed in the demanding trucking profession.

Key Changes (ATS Edition):

• Extended Training Phase: The early levels now require significantly more XP, ensuring you master the basics before moving on to advanced challenges.

• Gradual Progression: The XP curve has been adjusted for a smoother, more realistic progression.

• Milestone Alignment: XP requirements are better aligned with key career milestones in ATS.

• Long-Term Engagement: This system encourages long-term play, providing a continuous sense of accomplishment.

Recommended Mod:

To enhance your beta testing experience, we recommend using the following mod:

• GPS for Quick Jobs by Duke Leto: This mod adds a portable GPS navigator to quick job trucks, improving immersion and navigation until we can fully integrate this feature into the Economy Mod. Be sure to enable this mod when creating your profile, placing it above the economy mod.

Installation Instructions:

• Download the mod file from the Google Drive link.

• Place the .scs file in your ATS mod folder (Documents\American Truck Simulator\mod).

• Launch ATS and activate the mod in the Mod Manager.

• Start a new profile to experience the full effect of the XP rework.

• Place the mod in the correct load order (refer to the mod description).

• Apply changes in the Mod Manager. You MUST enable the mod before starting your new profile.

Feedback Instructions:

• Play and Observe: Play with the mod enabled, focusing on XP progression and skill unlocks.

• Provide Detailed Feedback: Share your thoughts on Discord or in the comments, including:

  • Overall impressions

  • Pacing (too fast, too slow, just right?)

  • Milestone alignment

  • Balance with the economy

  • Any issues or bugs

  • Suggestions for improvement

• Be Specific: The more details, the better!
