Just wanted to share with you this Mark Downie appreciation post! That’s Mark on the standup bass, and he’ll be joining me and Elise on Saturday in Brisbane. Mark runs the @hobofopo festival in Tasmania, is a soil scientist, runs Folk Till Ya Punk Records, and is an all around great dude. He has helped us (and tons of other bands from @ajjtheband to @pigeon.pit to @apesofthestate and @daysndazeofficial and so many more) tour Australia. Best of all, his kids have been so nice to Zippy and have let him play with all their toys. So, three cheers for people like Mark in this terrible, no good world we all live in! I’ve been talking to Mark since 2015 or so about coming over to Australia and am so glad we finally made it happen! The rest of the band arrives in a few days!
