This is my personal favorite album of 2024. Subbed to the Patreon just to see this reaction. Glad you liked it Jon. I think they made a great duo. Yachty’s boyish vocals with all the reverb and autotune give the songs some nice energy and also help with the syrupy and psychedelic sound of the album. James is just the perfect contrast to Yachty with his beautiful and ethereal vocals, really feels like a shining light every time I hear him. Amazing production, lots of swirling sounds and chord shifts that give the songs depth.

2024-07-18 00:11:14 +0000 UTCbeen waiting for this one!! midnight is such a beautiful track, and i loved hearing all your thoughts related or unrelated to the album. another record i think could be great as a patreon exclusive is the ghost pop tape from devon hendryx (jpegmafia), i know a few people have suggested it in the past year or so but it's an absolutely incredible and vulnerable record. would be really interested to see a reaction!

2024-07-17 16:24:12 +0000 UTCI thought yachty’s talking part on twice was really strange on my first listen, but now it actually reminds me heavily of some of the spoken word stuff andré 3000 does on some of outkast’s songs. Love that generational atlanta influence. (Also appreciate you speaking your mind during the title track ♥️)
