To be honest, I had pretty high hopes after the singles, but I was still treading cautiously. But this feels and sounds like Eminem ACTUALLY feeling comfortable on the mic for the first time in over a decade.

But when Eminem first hinted at the title of the album, and then listening to Houdini, and then seeing the rest of the rollout, I got excited at the prospect of Em going for a conceptual, "Marshall vs Shady", storytelling type album. But seeing his last few projects, I had to keep my expectations low on that front (especially with MTBMB not really following through with its Hitchcock concept that much). However, as the release date was approaching, I couldn't help it and basically decided to just let my trepidations go and just get excited. Needless to say, I haven't felt this vindicated being so hype about an album in awhile. My favorite track is easily Guilty Conscience 2-- the rest of the tracks can mostly go in any order. The only one I wasn't really feeling that much was Somebody Save Me, only because there was already a similar song in Temporary that I think was done WAY better (should've been the last song imo). But this is only after the first listen, it'll likely change after I've had time to let each track sink in.

It's nice sometimes when he has a change of pace but the fact that he's went back to the roots of what he's best at here. I don't think the context of this would work at all with a fast flow the whole time
