This helped me to appreciate some of the songs more. Still not yet convinced that I like this album, but half the songs are quite good! I like the Lorde remix she did too. Have you listened to the Chappell Roan album? Did you like it? Or planning a reaction? (One of the best pop albums I’ve heard in years!) Looking forward to your Lana reaction when that album drops. That song with Quavo was great! Lastly, thanks for all of the Kendrick/Drake reactions. It got me to really give Kendrick’s discography a listen, and holy shit he deserved that Pulitzer.

Von dutch and Mean girls are probably my favorites, though So I is an incredible song, but not very relistenable if that makes any sense. I dont give it a 10 or say its aoty for me or anything, but I think its top 5 at the moment.

The last 3 songs are really strong though and end it on such a high note that it left me wanting to listen to it again. While there are still a handful of tracks that don't resonate with me, it's grown on me a lot and I would bet the same will happen to you Jon. Cheers

If you're curious for what a lot of people love about the record, then try and watch Professor Skye' review of the album, he really puts into words what this album means, deeper than just the bangers. (Or just watch some of it, it's really long lol).

I myself have not been the biggest Charli xcx fan but this album just brings me so much joy and has been on repeat since it came out. Really glad you did the reaction!

2024-07-03 19:20:18 +0000 UTCpretty much all of the album if u read the lyrics she’s talking about real things it’s not basic breakup pop music it follows a narrative of her struggling with the idea of if she should be a mother or not and reflecting on past experiences with herself and other friends she’s known it’s a lot more than just “head nodders” and “vibes”
