Progress Update - November 2nd, 2022

Hey there, Halftilt here -- I got back from my vacation a few days ago (the 27th as I had to change my return date due to some unforeseen things popping up) -- Hope you all had a fun spooky season!

I've been working on Lustiest Lair and Light-Space Love since I got back and I've got a progress update for what to expect in November!

Lustiest Lair

New Hero Class & Sex Framework

First, I plan on releasing the class I've spoiled artwork for these last few months with a few placeholder sounds and icons for a sort of "Concept Release" here on Patreon and likely on the Discord in the future too for users/modders to test it out.

It looks like some members in the Darkest Dungeon NSFW modding community have started to play around with the Sex Framework and it looks like there might be some interest in seeing it expanded and how it was intended to work. I'll also be releasing the design document I've put together once she's ready in the next few weeks.

As far as what a "concept release" means, essentially I'll be releasing the hero with some placeholder sounds and artwork -- FreyaSFX is helping me out with some sounds for Light-Space Love at the moment, but I plan on hiring her for this class next once she's finished -- then I'll be making the skill and camping icons while commissioning additional artwork for her Affliction/Virtue pose and armor/weapons in the future.

Events Replacer

I'll also likely release the Events Replacer around the same time that the new hero class is released -- most of the artwork for it is finished, I'll just need to change some of the descriptions, so you'll have that to look forward to as well!

And similar to other Lustiest Lair standalones, the Events replacer will already be integrated into Lustiest Lair; so you won't need to download it twice!

Fixes and General Lustiest Lair Stuff

There are some fixes that need to be applied in the next version – I’ve been changing the way I’ve been handling localization since I’ve been getting updates from different languages and needed a way to categorize them efficiently and it has caused some wonkiness in the localization in the latest update.

Essentially I created a script to handle separate language localizations from files I receive from modders that have helped with translations form different languages (Chinese and Korean) and it caused some of the changes to be skipped; which I'll be fixing in the next update.

I'll also be updating the Arbalest just to round out everything in the vanilla Darkest Dungeon game before moving onto...

The Crimson Curse

Up next would be the Crimson Curse overhaul -- I'll be looking to finally implement the new lore, get some new artwork while applying the finished artwork that's been spoiled from a while back and finally getting that next step closer to a full NSFW overhaul of the game.

Light-Space Love

I'm still aiming for late December to early January for the next release and I've also opened up for testers -- you can send in a request here.
