Progress Update - May 18th, 2022

Hey there! Halftilt here with a major update!

I'll try to break down where I am on different parts on Lustiest Lair and finally we have an expected release date on the next update; I'm currently aiming for a Beta release exclusively for Patreon for June 21st for the Tentacle Broodmother combined with the upcoming lore update and fixes to some lingering bugs.

Tentacle BroodMother

Work is still being done on the Broodmother, given that she has a significant relation to the Tentacle Monsters that currently exist, this has led me to make some changes to the original Tentacle Monsters that came along with the Foredoomed One's release.

Otherwise, the boss fight is almost in a finished state. The AI is completely finished and the moveset of herself and her summons are done as well. 

All that's left is to add sounds, add in the Champion level versions and design her unique trinket rewards followed by some playtesting to do any needed rebalancing.

Lore Update

The focus of this lore update is going to center mostly around the Ancestress. You can expect to see some new journal entries along with some new trinkets related to her and the things she's played a hand in.

I'm also going to be adding in some journal entries from The Jade's "bestiary" to give you all a little teaser on what she may be like.

I've also done a lot of re-writing of some previous journals as well -- before a few of them were written as "stories" and not necessarily as "journals". I'm correcting that and they will all read as if they're entries in someone's journal, logbook, records, diary, etc. 

To sum it up, they'll all read as if they were written by somebody and they'll reflect that person's personality and perspective.

Most importantly, given that it's written from their viewpoint, there may be some clues that everything isn't as it seems from their entries, given that people tend to interpret their experiences in their own way and the human mind is a fallible thing, there may be some things you'll pick up on if you keep an eye out when referencing one journal to another.

Another NSFW Side Project

Also, I won't share much here today, but I've been doing some work on the side for another NSFW project that isn't related to Lustiest Lair. I may post something here in the future, but for now it's very much in it's early stages. All that I'll say is it takes place in space!
