Progress Update - January 19th, 2022

Hey everyone! Halftilt here with another update!

Modding Tools Updates

I'm still making progress on the bug fixing scripts that I've mentioned in my last update -- there isn't much to report on that front other than I'll be automating a lot more than just bug finding it seems -- I'll likely be automating a majority of the mod uploading process on my end if this goes well.

On the other hand, I'm considering making a public "mod conflict finder" tool to help with all of the conflicts from other mods that I've found to cause crashes for some users. I typically play with a very "mod-lite" when playing Darkest Dungeon -- usually only testing with L.L. active and a few cosmetic mods. That's not the typical experience for most players, so I'd like to account for that best as I can.

The conflict finder is a very basic tool right now -- essentially it just spits out a text file saying which folders have "major (potential crashes)" and "minor (ignore-able)" conflicts. I'll get more granular with it in the future so non-modders can use it too; but at the moment it serves my purposes pretty well.

I'll release an Alpha version of the mod conflict finder here and in the Discord in early February that you can use and share if you'd like.

Lustiest Lair Updates

Looking at some of the recent feedback I've gotten in regards to some encounters and their difficulty, I'm going to add an "easy-mode" add-on for Lustiest Lair -- some people seem to like the challenging encounters while others would prefer to enjoy their lewd content without the punishing side effects -- so to accommodate both groups, I'll be adding an optional file to Nexus and L.Lab.

Patreon Updates

Other than that, I'm looking into adding a yearly subscription option to this page -- this won't affect any current Patrons or any new Patrons that wish to only pay monthly.

There is only a small change that will affect any new subscribers as they'll be "charged-up-front"; essentially once you subscribe or change tiers you'll be charged for the month the moment you sign up instead of at the end of the month for which you've signed up -- and then at the end of next month you'll be charged like a regular monthly subscriber (at the end of each month).

And that's about it!

Stay tuned for more updates and thanks for all of your support!

Comments

Would like a small discount for those who do pay yearly up front, but other wise not bad.

Sir Valentine
