GENIE'D! Chapter 2 Page 3

My apologies for the delay, but here is chapter 2, page 3 of GENIE'D! We MIGHT be going into a temporary hiatus just so TheXtra can have a bit more time to catch up on all their various projects, including the already written pages of GENIE'D! and the interlude comics. This is also to redo the narrative of Chapter 2 just a bit. If it happens, it's because I suggested it; I really don't like making the artists that generously work on these projects feel like they're being rushed.

Anyway, I will be certain to inform you all if there is to be a hiatus. Until then, please enjoy the comic and thank you all for your continued patronage.

TEXT

Panel 1

*The elevator comes to a stop and the doors open, with Zara, now holding the giant egg that was once her friend and co-worker Sarah, delicately in her hands*

Zara: "Okay Zara, you've still got this. Just need to make it to my desk and hide the egg..."

Panel 2

*Zara is seen by her co-workers in her former male identity, many of which are staring at the abnormally large egg. To Zara, thanks to her headphones, can't hear any of the questioning comments being directed at her as she quickly moves towards her cubicle. She does, however, do her best to deflect the questions*

Zara: "Hi everyone, don't mind me! I'm, uh, just going to try...a diet! Yeah! It requires a huge egg, like this one!"

*More coworkers attempt to stop her, but Zara pushes through to her cubicle*

Zara: "Sorry! I can't hear anyone, I've got to stary focused on my presentation!"

Zara *to herself*: "I think that worked, people will just think I'm eccentric"

Panel 3

*Zara ducks into her cubicle and gently places the egg on her desk*

Zara: "Great, I made it to my desk with no incidents! Now, what to do with you...Don't worry, I'm not actually going to eat you!"

*Zara stares for aa long moment at the large egg that used to be Sarah*

Zara: "I need to keep you warm so..."

Panel 4

*Zara places the egg under her desk and channels her magic, causing a large and cozy looking next to appear around the egg's white shell*

Zara: "There, that should keep you warm until I get back from the meeting"

*Zara softly places a hand on the still warm egg, closes her eyes and sighs softly*

Zara: "Ugh, I'm so sorry about this, Sarah"

Panel 5

*After a moment Zara opens her eyes and looks at the clock on her desk*

Zara: "Crap, I'm almost late for my meeting"

*The disguised genie girl shuffles around the small office space, gathering files and folders and tucking them under her arms*

Zara: "I need this file and..."

Panel 6

*Zara hustles out of her cubicle after placing her chair in front of the egg, somewhat blocking it from view before heading back through the office and towards the conference room*

Zara: "I'm as ready as I'm going to be"

*She takes a deep breath, trying to ignore the feeling of her large breast pushing against the fabric of her business suit or the weight of her hair on the back of her head, of all the changes that have happened to her in the last 24 hours*

Zara: "Here goes nothing"

*Zara opens the conference room door and steps in*
