Being A Supportive Mother

This is a bit of a spiritual re-telling of an older caption by someone called WishingwithWhitney. Their original caption was much shorter, but the model for their caption and this one looked stunningly similar! If you're out there Whitney, thanks for all the great work you did in the past!

TEXT

"Mrs. Norton! Oh my GOSH it's so nice to finally meet you!" Lauren gushed, grabbing Ray's hands with an excited giggle before going in for a hug.

"It's...Really nice to meet you! Lisa has told us so much about you!" Rachel Norton replied operating on more or less auto-pilot as she felt her changed body react to the hug and give a soft one in return. She honestly didn't know what to feel at that moment, given that less than a day ago the much older woman and the college freshman embracing her had shared a bed. And Rachel had been a Freshman named Raymond. And a man. But no one, not his former girlfriend, not his new daughter Lisa or even his new HUSBAND Jack seemed to realize anything was wrong!

Raymond had no idea how it had happened, he and Lauren had fallen asleep after sex in their shared apartment, cuddled together...And then Ray had woken up BEING cuddled by some middle-aged man! And much to his horror, he had discovered that he was no longer a 18 year old boy, but a middle aged woman! A really HOT one, but still! But whatever had happened had changed reality but good; not a soul remembered him as anything other than Mrs. Rachel Norton, husband to Jack Norton and MOTHER to Lisa Norton! And here his...her new family were, all gathered at the wedding of one of Rachel's friends! And Lauren had been invited as Lisa's guest! It was all her new daughter, who personally Ray didn't care much for, could talk about; Rachel finally getting to meet Lisa's BFF and college roommate! But of course, Ray's opinion of Lisa had changed as well, where there was originally just annoyance from the sheer amount (and speed) that the curvy brunette talked...Now Rachel couldn't feel anything but happiness for her daughter! That Lisa had made a true friend in Lauren and that her beautiful baby girl had someone looking out for her during the 'college experience'.

"Oh and, like, mom, we could, like, totally bring our laundry home every weekend! That way I get to see you and daddy and Lauren and I don't have to go to that super creepy laundromat and-" Lisa had been talking a mile-a-minute, as usual, during this whole process. Ray had somehow heard every word despite the thoughts going through his new, and unfortunately, slightly graying head.

"Lisa, I don't...I mean I just met your mom! Mrs. Norton, I don't want to impose!" Lauren had stammered with a blush to her pretty cheeks. The top-heavy blonde's smile did nothing for Ray, when just yesterday it would cause his heart to flutter. And indeed, he suddenly realized that he hadn't been attracted to Lauren's figure at all! Instead he found himself pitying the 'poor girl' for the back pains she likely had.

"Oh, don't worry about it Lauren! It's the least I can do for you girls!" Rachel had responded with a kind smile. And she MEANT it, strangely enough. It was, after all, just something a mom would do for her daughter, right? The continued stream of familiar, yet alien thoughts flowed through Ray's brain, which was growing more and more concerned with the thought that she'd have to keep the liquor cabinent locked and under guard lest her daughter snuck off with some! But it was worth it to help her little baby girl out!

"Oh, thank you! That really means a lot!" Lauren said with a large grin. But then music began to play, and Ray...Rachel's husband appeared from the crowd, taking Rachel by the arm and sending shivers of excitement down her spine.

"Ladies, let's get to our seats, shall we?" Jack said, and his voice sounded wo...so...SEXY to Ray! He let the much larger man guide her in her heels towards the four seats that had 'The Nortons' taped on them, sighing in happiness at the firm, but gentle feel of her man's touch. It hadn't been the first time today that Rachel had felt it. After all, she'd woken up next to him in this new body and had even showered with him! And none of it felt strange to her, despite being a heterosexual male only hours before! Instead now Rachel was just concerned with looking good, not just for the wedding, but for her husband! After-all, it wasn't every day that either of them got to look this elegant and sophisticated! Indeed, a recurrent thought that kept intruding on Ray's rapidly changing thought processes had been disappointment that they couldn't look like this every day! Indeed, once they got home, the next time that Rachel would be going out would likely be for groceries and in a pair of athletic pants that she only sometimes used for doing yoga!

"Oh, this is SO romantic!" Lisa gushed, giving Lauren's hand a squeeze as the group sat down. And Rachel couldn't help but have a stray thought about the two girls getting married one day. But she simply hushed her daughter as the ceremony began, and Rachel's friend, May, began her walk down the aisle. More new thoughts and memories arose in Ray's mind, a lifetime's worth, and all of them drowing out Ray's eighteen years worth of memories.

May and Rachel weren't best friends, but they were close. They gone to high school together, then college and ended up staying in their home town. So they had remained closer than their other friends had throughout the years of life. May had been unlucky in love, and Rachel knew it was because the redhead was simply too wild to settle on any one man, at least until now. This was, after all, May's third wedding! Rachel, whatever was left of Ray was now a speck of odd memories lurking in the back of Rachel's mind, had secretly made a bet with her husband that they'd be attending another wedding just like this in two years.

During the reception, as Rachel and Jack slow danced together at the edge of the much larger and wilder party, she couldn't help but feel happy. Despite being a 18 year old boy yesterday, desptie losing so much of his life and becoming this woman...Rachel was VERY grateful for whatever had happened. She had a beautiful daughterwho had a great best friend, and a wonderful husband that loved her just as much as she loved him. But as much as she DID want grandkids one day, she couldn't help but smile at Lisa and Lauren dancing together in the wedding crowd. Maybe they WOULD make a good couple...And maybe she'd help plant the seeds. After all, she still cared for Lauren, even if it was different now.

But no matter what happened, Rachel Norton, devoted mother and loving wife, would be supporting. it was, after all, just what a good mom did!
