GENIE’D! Page 8 Transcript

Panel 1

*Zara looks at her glowing fingertip and back at Faye*

Zara: "I can change other things? Okay...let's try the TV!"

Faye: "Excellent choice!"

*Zara point her finger at the small TV and table it sits upon. The blue bolt of magical energy sails across the apartment and hits Dave’s TV, which is now turned off. It shifts from a modest sized flat screen to a wall sized flatscreen and full entertainment center.

Panel 2

*Zara’s jaw drops in amazement as she and Faye stand in front of the now huge TV*

Zara: “AWESOME! I've always wanted a really nice big screen! The image quality is amazing!"

*Faye hops up and down excitedly*

Fae: “Oh, it’s so big! Change something else!”

*A genuine smile breaks across Zara's face as the impossibility of her life right now fades away in the face of the possibilities of what she can do*

Zara: "Let's upgrade this apartment!"

Panel 3

*Zara points at the modest bookshelf, filled with various books, graphic novels, DVDs and other random items*

Zara: "Got to have a nice bookshelf!"

*The blue energy zaps the modest bookshelf, and it immediately expands across an entire wall of the apartment, now filled with hundreds of books and DVDs*

Zara: "And of course, a really comfy couch!"

*She zaps the conservative little loveseat and allows herself a giggle as it stretches outwards into a extremely nice looking couch, upon which the cat immediately jumps upon*

Cat: "MEOW!"

*Faye claps her hands together*

Faye: "Very impressive! You're a natural, mistress!"

Panel 4

*Zara and Fae marvel at all the changed items, though Zara is looking a little worn out. She let's out a loud, unexpected yawn as she sits down on the enlarged couch. The cat slowly climbs upon Zara and settles in for pets*

Zara: “Wha? Why...Why am I feeling so dizzy and *yawn* sleepy?"

Cat: "Mew..."

*Faye continues to look around the apartment in awe*

Faye (casually, almost off-hand): “Oh, that's because new Genies don't have very much magic. With all the wishes you made beforehand and all the changes you just made, it's no wonder you're feeling tired, mistress!"

Panel 6

*Zara leans back on the couch and closes her eyes, unable to keep them open as the cat snuggles in on her lap, closes it's eyes as well and beginning to purr*

Zara: "Oh, that...explains...zzz"

*Zara almost instantly falls asleep*

*Faye notices this and poofs back into her fairy form, swooping over to lay down on Zara’s head*

Fae: “Goodnight, mistress! I'm so excited for the adventures we'll go on tomorrow!"
