What If Jane Foster was the She-Hulk?

My take on a the What If multiverse stories: What If Jane Foster became She-Hulk to cure her cancer instead of Mighty Thor?

Another Stable Diffusion AT-generated caption for you all. I love Natalie Portman, I think she's gorgeous...But that also meant that when I realized I could do some primitive morphs using SD, well, she became a prime target. I actually have many, many other actresses as She-Hulks (Lady D from Resident Evil Village and then Jane herself as Mighty Thor awakened something in me for beefy, tall women), but this is easily the best one I've got. Aside from the hands and the slightly splotchy colors, she looks really good!

TEXT

Jane had been diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer several months ago. It had been fast, aggressive, nigh-untreatable despite the amount of doctors she had been to see. The physicist was utterly terrified of the wasting illness that was claiming her body, every day she hurt a little more, she felt weaker and the chemotherapy was doing nothing but making her die a little faster. So, ever the creative thinker, Jane had reached out to her more...enigmatic connections.

Her boyfrien-er, EX-boyfriend had been an Avenger after all. The memory of Thor and the good times they had and then the...well, the fault was on both of them, she had come to realize once Thor had left her life for what seemed like the final time. And then Asgard blew up, which erased one of her ideas for a cure, the Quantum Field Generator (the 'Soulforge') that had healed her the first time was gone. The Blip had, of course, erased her and half the universe from existence only to be brought back by Bruce Banner, aka the Hulk. Following the dramatic battle where Thanos was defeated, the now balanced persona of Banner and Hulk had retired (save for some adventure here and there). Seeing an opportunity, Jane had tracked Banner down and with more than a little convincing...But Bruce had performed the Gamma experiment on her, in the hopes of using the extremely powerful and focused rays to burn the cancer from her body once and for all. The pain had been intense, easily the most painful feeling she had ever felt, even more than when her body had been infused with the Aether (the more primordial form of what would become the Reality Stone)! But through the screams of pain, Jane could feel...SOMETHING happening to her! After months of and months of suffering and weakness, she felt...STRONG!

"YOU'RE CURED!" Banner had beamed at her before realizing what had happened. The scientist fumbled as he declared the process an absolute win, but Jane had already stormed off to the nearest bathroom to inspect herself in a mirror, wreaking a path of accidental destruction with her newfound strength and awkward stumbling. Her formerly tiny form was HUGE! Rippling muscles coiled underneath deep green skin, and her withering hair had returned in thick, almost black locks that fell down her back! Jane's face had taken the brunt of the transformation, though. No longer staggeringly pretty, Jane's face was now blunted and dull, looking more like a hammer than the sculpted beauty she had been born with. This had been supposed to wrok! Not turn her into some muscleheaded...freak! Jane Foster glared at herself in the mirror, her breathing becoming more and more faster by the minute. It had all gone so wrong! Why hadn't it worked!? Why had nothing worked!? Now she was...this thing! Already Jane could feel her mind dulling, the complex science she'd based her life on growing farther and farther away to be replaced with...something white hot and infuriating.

Jane grunted before smashing the bathroom to pieces. She was angry, and NO ONE would like her when she was angry!
