Working with Minecraft!!!
Added 2025-09-30 14:44:23 +0000 UTCOf all things I really didn't think this is where we'd end up at, but here we are. An official arrangement collaboration with the biggest game ever, and one I quite adore myself. Minecraft.
Not to get ahead of myself, this was still a simple collaborative musical project and not an inclusion in the game or anything of the like, but I truly do find it pretty difficult to think of a honor bigger than this.
The remix of A Familiar Room specifically holds a pretty soft spot in my heart, and I would highly recommend you listen to the original version of the song first, and then try to think of how you'd not only bring it up to speed, but also incorporate chiptune elements all the while expanding the core motif into a full song that flows true. This is, without a doubt in my mind, the most difficult remix I've ever had to make, and as such one I'm probably one of the most proud of.
Though I'm not sure the thought behind every choice in the rearrangement process shows, or even registers for the listener, every move had thought behind it that went further than "oh this'd go hard." or "that'd be fun." like you might usually find me think. I could spend another five paragraphs explaining it all, but perhaps it's best left to be interpreted by the listener.
I still have another song to talk about too, after all, and I think you all deserve an explanation as to why I haven't been able to post much of anything as of late. So make sure you read the second post too, if you care.
