Jager & Ace.

This collab was arguably one of the biggest moments of my career thus far. It's really hard to put into words how much of an honor it was to work with the voices behind some of the biggest bangers the genre has to offer, and how amazing it was to work on a track that played such an important part to why I make eurobeat today.

When SCP originally contacted me about what they wanted from the remix, Stefano said "For me it is important to add a touch of refreshing newness to the remix, so Ace will be featuring. But please create whatever you think is interesting for you, this mix will have to be a wonderful Turbo mix :-)" and that stuck with me throughout the entire process of making it.

I tried to have a refreshing and modern take on the song, while still retaining my own soundscape and arrangement style. I also went with the 1-2 call and response styled riff I love so much.

I'm a huge fan of SCP's Eurock series, so I took some inspiration from the Eurock counterpart of the song by emphasizing the rhythm guitars, and including a solo of my own, but I also tried to give the remix a modern edge and give it that desired 'newness' by borrowing techniques from progressive EDM genres, as well as doing a half time part on the second verse.

The vocals provided by Ace were amazing, but due to the nature of the song, I found that they didn't quite have enough time to shine, if I were to follow the original arrangement. To make sure both of the featured artists had their time in the spotlight, towards the end of the song, I included an atmospheric breakdown which follows the intro sequence, building up to the final 'bang', giving Ace some space in between as well.

That aside, it's been a joy to work with the SCP team as a whole. A lot of not so great stuff has happened in the community in the past few years, and me laying my hands on one of the all time classics wasn't void of its own drama either, but after being in contact with SCP I feel like everything is starting to finally fall into place.
