Roughing out a Schedule

Matt here. Well, Matt here showing off our producer Ashim's work.

I thought it would be worth sharing this first pass at a schedule. "First pass" is probably overselling it a bit as well. This is a MASSIVE production we are undertaking, and Ashim is just trying to get it into something tangible.

We will have a similar initial breakdown of a budget next week. With that, we can begin to actually see what is viable, and what we need to change. Even here you can see we don't have weeks #10-12 cleared up cause Will and I still owe a final pass on the script, which is changing the end action quite a bit.

The primary consideration in the schedule is how to move between action scenes, rehearsals, and the rest of the movie, all while trying to give the set to art and stunts during the filming. There is a lot to figure out.

Also, for any folks who are interested in scheduling or the logistics of filmmaking, you can see this first pass and ask questions from us. We will be happy to answer. We will be interviewing Ashim soon so we can really get into his thought process in these first stages of scheduling and budgeting.

Also, coming soon: I'm planning on making a massive miniature of the exterior of the dumpling house. So I look forward to sharing the process of getting that built!

Really looking forward to the mini. Do you 3D print all the components? If so, what printer do you utilize? We’ve found that we use a combination of a resin and a filament printer. Resin for some more fine detail work and the filament printer for some of the larger pieces. Looking forward to seeing all the next steps!
