An Update on the We're All Gonna Die Release

Hey folks!

We've been getting great questions about when We're All Gonna Die is going to be available to watch and we've finally got some info for you! There's also a huge part y'all can play, but we'll get into that in a sec.

The short version is: We're All Gonna Die will be in theaters* on March 7th! 

Before I elaborate on that asterisk, here comes the long version of the story.

Exploring theatrical distribution on the indie side, without a studio backing this release, has been a journey. We held on this announcement for some time because we initially had a deal brewing with Cinemark theaters (big-time distro, 500 locations, 42 states!) for WAGD to play on a huge number of their screens starting on January 24th. That conversation was developing until we got the news that because a pesky few movies (cough WICKED cough GLADIATOR 2) did so well at the box office, the major studios and Cinemark's plans for Q1 shifted, and there wasn't room for WAGD anymore.

We got that news right before the holidays so since then our contact has been going through individual programmers to see which theaters we could play in. We were planning on keeping a January release date until continued conversations within the team concluded that early March gave us our best shot at a proper marketing and distribution plan.

So what do we mean when we say WAGD is gonna be in theaters? We currently have a list of 10+ confirmed theaters in the US (which will be updated on a site we're creating), but we're hoping to grow that list as much as possible before our new release date of March 7. Which is where YOU come in.

Do you have a local theater near you that you love? If it's an independently owned location (aka not AMC, Regal, or Cinemark), we wanna know about it! We're asking folks to 1) let us know about your favorite local theatrical venues, and THEN 2) contact said venues expressing your extreme interest in having WAGD play there!
