Hi EVERYONE!

Guess what? WE ARE IN MONTREAL! We finally left the Auberge. The season has slowed the fuck down. We have been here a few days now and it's been an adjustment. I still have a little shell shock from the summer and readjusting to city life (even though I was craving a little dose of it) has been a challenge!

We packed up all our stuff from the auberge and rented a storage space just outside of the city so we are really nomadic right now lol. We are crashing at a friends place for a few weeks!

Anyways, as I was packing up my stuff, I found a little piece of relationship history. I found this story I wrote for Gab when we first met. I'll be making a video about it soon cause I thought it was too cute not to share. But I;m showing you first.

You all know I used to work with children with autism right? Well one of the tools we used to use a lot were social stories. They are stories written from the child's perspective to help them navigate through life skills, events and topics.

When I first met Gab, he had a little trouble helping me live through my emotions lol. He is a solutions-oriented human and not really into the feels so much. But he is a quick learner! So I actually thought I would try this strategy with him and talk to him like he is a big kid (cause really....he is haha).

Anyways, it worked haha. And I wonder if more people should start adopting this strategy when trying to communicate their wants and needs to their partner. TALK TO THEM LIKE THEY'RE 5.

Most people experiencing communication breakdowns and don't know how get their points across......Anyways, here is the social story I wrote for Gab lol.

If you can think of something you would want to talk to your partner about, drop it in the comments below! Maybe I'll start a new side hustle of writing social stories for adults with relationship problems lol.

Have a great day everyone!

xx
