the eraser is passive but the tip needs an amplifier to be sensitive over such a small area.

2021-02-14 20:40:27 +0000 UTCwhat does an active pen do better than a passive pen ? early in the video, after separating it off of any active electronics, you use the eraser just fine on the touch screen.
