The MILF & Dev Update

She's Midnight Paradise's mo-... I mean, Landlady character ;)

But first, I want to share some of my thoughts and some info with you guys. It's a bit of what's been going through my mind lately and where I am with things now.
It's been quite a while since I made a proper dev update.
The reason is that quite frankly, I've been depressed lately.
I started to doubt myself.
When I was making the first DoD, nobody knew about me or my game. Then more than a year passed and DoD becoming as successful and popular and loved by you guys, I started to question if I can surpass my first creation, let alone come close.
Will you like my new story? Can I make it as exciting? What about the complex game mechanics I planned?
This and I guess also the general burnout effect from the fast pace of DoD's development has left me in a rough shape.
BUT!
Lately I started to take care of myself better and in turn, I feel much better and I'm enthusiastic about going forward down the adult game dev path.
My doubts are still with me, but I'll give it my best shot and hope that you'll like my new project:)
And about said project -
I was planning for a much earlier release, but I guess it's really true that if you think something is going to take an X amount of time, you have to multiply it by 2 to get the real amount time it'll take.
Anyways, I have a release date for you guys.
Midnight Paradise's v0.1 is coming out on December 20th.
This won't be as a linear game like DoD was, so having a couple of 'wipes' throughout the development is inevitable. Which means a few times you'll have to start from the beginning to get all the new content. Just wanna let you guys know this beforehand, however I'll try to limit these 'restarts' to 2-3 throughout the whole development.
Also, there has been a lot of questions about the animations in the next game.
So I'm happy to tell you that the 'hot' scenes will be animated, and I mean smooth, high FPS animations, much better than it was in DoD.

"Can you make the "corruption" ending not a pseudo-bad-ending?", if there is a corruption ending, else i don't really have anything to say except that i understand your dubs and that you sould have more confidence. We are all here for a reason. About the "Landlady" i really don't have a problem with having her as the "main caracter" as long as the story stars more slowly, not having hot scenes just because of alcohol.

I think your renders are always amazing and the sex scenes are hot, but I really hate the noncon/dubcon nature of your previous work. I like it when there's actual love - or at the very least passion involved in the scenes throughout.

2018-11-08 15:26:06 +0000 UTCIt's two things. None of my future characters will have the feature of DoD's 'Landlady' anymore (probably) because it was a bit too unrealistic. That said, this one has 'high quality assets' I can assure you, but as you said, I took a lot of time to experiment with the clothing and that's making her shape less obvious at the front. It's more realistic this way. Yeah, repeatable scenes can work, I'll see what I can do about it:)

But your work is honestly amazing (the best adult games I've played) and I know that we all love it! Doubt isn't always a bad thing, as long as you are not too hard on yourself and can get through it. I am sure we will have a better experience because of it. Remember to do what's right for you. Is she more tuned down or have you gotten better at clothing and their are hiding her features? As for the wipes I don't think they are such a big problem. Also hope we will get repeatable scenes with the girls once we unlock some scenes.

Once you start releasing new content again, I believe your subscribers will return. I do want to point out and give an honest opinion that you’re missing a ‘hot’ character like Tracy. Elaine comes very close but I hope you have someone that is as desirable as Tracy. Myself and probably a lot more tend to be more attracted to the younger teen 18-25 characters.
